Most people in the current Cleveland, Ohio pool scene are good people, and not thieves. Speaking for the 9 foot table community, I'm not aware of one person who I would think would steal a cue from someone.

Lots of great minds have tried to find pool sponsors. Pool is a great game, and is TV/streaming worthy.

There is no good 7 foot table. The only real tables are 9, 10, or 12 feet.

Pia can be Pia, but as for mea, I play with carbon. Predator 12.4 Revo. Less muss and fuss, thus my decision. I also have a Revo on my break and on my jump for consistency. I would much rather do drills on a nine footer for an hour than talk about cues for an hour.

Frosty seems to agree in general with my post in this thread. He just does not mention rhythm, which is important and very helpful to have and maintain in competition.

That is cool that you have been in Olympic time trials. Congrats for that. But there will never be a world class pool player who does not have a consistently quality and straight stroke, no matter how many battles they have been through.

Its a relative term that can be adapted to a variety of people. I'm not a "pound my ideas into people" person. Different people can arrive at their own conclusions for this. But it should be considered, and is truthfully the number one fundamental of pocket billiards.

Watch snooker players, where pocketing balls is much more challenging. You can't have a poor stroke and be a high level snooker player. The laws of nature prove that a superior (straight) stroke, all else equal, makes a superior player.

This post was not directed at serious players who have at a minimum scratched the professional level. This is because virtually all players that have reached the professional level have taken steps to learn the two fundamentals that I listed. The post is for new players.
