    ok, im the same not familiar with new or well new for me composite things, when i was playing regualar, fiber was new , i have been out of well the real game for awhile. So for me all been well maple, hard wood stuff.

    i am not looking to collect, just the differences to hit is all before i decide to buy, since these are two i haven't used in 30 years of playing. its about knowing who has used them to know a bit of difference is all.

    my current custom is 3/8's 10 wood, and love that connection, a good solid connection with no ping. with a few others i tired , had a bit of ping, i have earlier post for identifying a custom i had, which is believed a david barber but also well made by freddie yates when they were together.

    oh that is great to know, alot for what i need to know. ill have you know for me for a cue is break and play, since at this time i dont want a decated break que, im more a player just rather not have wrap. so the ones i am looking at are maple shaft.
