JimS is getting to the heart of my original question. For those of you who do not reccomend going longer than 60", why not? Is it because the equipment or length of the shaft blanks makes it difficult/impossible or are there other reasons?

I am 6'11" and I have never played with a cue that feels like it is long enough for me (always grab the cue with two fingers on the bumper and two on the very end of the butt). I am thinking about buying a cue (currently use my wife's old 58" Dufferin) and have done some research on this site...
