I will say one last thing on the subject: I have read the first book by Koehler. And it is full of interesting "observations." I have concluded that once you have been FAMILIARIZED with the FUNDAMENTALS of execution, strategy, and the physics of the game, all of the other mumbo jumbo can be...

    Pros in Los Angeles?

How about the soft break issue? I think the Eurotour or something in Europe has adopted the rule that on the break three balls must cross the head string. Do you have anything to say about this issue with regard to the Swanee? JM :D

    aiming

Why would anyone who has spent serious time and effort and thought just give away their hard earned knowledge that in some respects is as good as gold? Furthermore, there is no secret to pool. You have a table a cue stick and some balls. You can watch other people play the game. Try it...

    IPT optimists?

Yeah. That's right. Mike Segal is really hallucinating that he is driving around town in a Ferrari. And Thorsten Hohmann really didn't pocket $350,000, And Efren was paid in funny money when he won the King of the Hill. And all the millions in prize money that WAS paid out in all those...

    WTB:Buddy Hall:Rags to Rifleman

I emailed the Buddy Hall estore and requested a copy. The guy who runs the store said they had sold them but they ran out of them. I told him this should tell him something and that they should print another edition or reprint the last edition. Haven't heard a word since. I'm hoping. JM :D

Old "Pool & Billiard Magazines": Any Collectors Out There?

Is there a market for old issues of Pool & Billiard Magazine? I'm holding a July 1988 issue with Earl Stricland and Mike Segal on the cover: Brunswick World Open. On the chair is a January 1996 issue with Gerda, Oliver, Efren, and Allison on the cover. Both are in nearly perfect condition...

Best Player that Quit Early on

It's been 37 years and I have never forgotten Squirrel. I am from Fremont, CA. In about 1970 Cole Dickson came in off the road. (He's from Fremont.) He rolled in town from Huston driving a faded green VW bug with a large dent in the front fender. Seems they hit a deer on the way. I was...
