    Fisher and Diveney for Sale

I don't have exact specs. But the Fisher is a 20 oz. and measures approx. 59 inches. Diveney feels on the light side. I'm guessing 18.5. Willing to sell Diveney for $250. Great playing cue.

would any be interested in helping me.

I've had clients shoot air barrels at me. In fact, I have been stiffed more by clients in the courtroom than by opponents in the pool room.

would any be interested in helping me.

It is awesome to see someone taking an academic approach to analyzing the subculture of pool players. Lots of posts on this forum rant about "the problem with pool". Basically pool's "problem" is that it is a subculture not accepted by the mainstream society. I graduated with a degree in...

What is the best win you ever had in a pool match up?

For me, that match has not occurred yet. But I do already know who my opponent will be. And he won't like it. Just waiting for the right moment.

    Leauge Pool Vs Gambling...a rant.

The better a person gets a pool, the harder it is for that person to find players to compete against of his caliber. After a while, a gifted/motivated player has to quit the leagues and have to"play for money (clearly leagues are not modeled based upon turning a profit, except for the...

    Leauge Pool Vs Gambling...a rant.

I once asked two obvious bangers (who were busy playing each other and bragging on their ability to bank a ball after they missed shape) if they wanted to play for five dollars a game. Their immediate response was "You don't want to play us, we play league". I felt "kinda" guilty after I...

What is the point to this rule? Seems like verifying whether a hit will be good or bad would be the way to go.

    Help Building Cue Repair Lathe

This was something that I was envisioning. Seems like it will work. I should be able to shape tips using a razor blade. My lathe has the moving part on the right hand side that should allow me to install a tip with this type of combination.

    Help Building Cue Repair Lathe

I didn't buy that lathe with the intention of turning it into a cue repair lathe. I bought it because I money burning in my pocket when in the hardware store. I have seen several cue repair lathes on AZ starting in the $500 dollar range. If I can't convert this one cheaply, then I will buy...

    Help Building Cue Repair Lathe

I bought the wood lathe shown in the picture below. It has a 33-3/8 turning distance between centers. I live a long ways from the nearest cue repairman. What, if anything, can I do to convert this lathe into a lathe that will allow me to: 1) clean shafts; 2) replace tips; and 3) shape...
