    US Open 08/18-23

Matchroom events always use Simonis 860 cloth and the color is shark grey. The other tables look to be Pro-Ams.

2025 Battle of the Bull (9-Ball), August 2025

I don’t think Matchroom keeps any of the matches besides their own Matchroom matches on the website. It looks like PPV matches can be watched at the link below for the event. https://digitalpool.net/wolfsden/

Florida Open 2025, August 5-10, Orlando, Caribe Royale

I expected a miss when he tried to aim with power into a small side pocket with the 8 ball. I would have chosen a tough cut into the top left corner.

Waxing the cue ball? WTF is Kaci talking about now?

We have seen that Kaci is capable of making a comeback. With a proper cue ball he could have won.

Waxing the cue ball? WTF is Kaci talking about now?

These big tournaments can implement a policy to have 4 clean cue balls per table at the start of each match. If the incoming player believes something is wrong with the cue ball, they can make up to 2 requests per match to change the ball.

Hopefully there is one more achievement that he can achieve, which is the BCA Hall of Fame.

    Predator Shaft....or not

Unless the 314’2 somehow morphed from wood into carbon fiber, it’s a fake.

    The Reyes Cup

European players that are not automatic spots into the Mosconi Cup like FSR and David Alcaide would have extra incentive to show that they are in good form in order for Shaw to want to pick them for that team as well. Why would Euro bother coming back from 4-0 down in he first team game only to...

    The Reyes Cup

These players have too much pride to not want to win. Factors like the climate or eating different food could be impacting their overall game. Based on the results of the last players in the Hanoi Open, it seems like the Asian players carried that momentum into the Reyes Cup.

    WPA Bans 245 Players

It loooks like the WPA has no intention now of trying to get some disciplines in the Olympics. They ban a lot of the best players in the world and they expect the IOC to take them seriously.

    WPA Bans 245 Players

The only reason I started to play pool in 2001 was because I saw the World Pool Championship that was put on by Matchroom. They made the event look so prestigious that it made me immediately try to learn the game of pool. While the event is WPA sanctioned, I can’t say that the WPA is really...

    Filler withdrawn from Reyes cup

The last 64 players in a tournament need to probably earn at least $8,000 USD to make globetrotting worthwhile if they are in it for the long term Pool will need to get to a state where there are as many tournaments as there are in tennis or golf. This will allow the average pro player to...

    Filler withdrawn from Reyes cup

Pro pool probably needs to be based out of Europe or Asia with pros not constantly having to travel to different continents, except for a few select tournaments.

    Filler withdrawn from Reyes cup

I suppose Filler played the World Eight ball because he was reminded of the following: You don’t tug on Superman’s cape You don’t spit into the wind You don’t pull the mask off that old Lone Ranger And you don’t mess around with Karim. Even if you do have a 2 piece custom made pool cue given...

    Filler withdrawn from Reyes cup

It comes downs to the fact that Joshua Filler effectively hoodwinked his peers and picked up a $75,000 prize by winning the World Eight Ball Championship, when most of the other players stuck by their word and sat out. That probably leaves a bad taste in their mouth even if they are friends...
