I am now living in NY so I decided to check out some pool halls. I went to Amsterdam Billiards. Overall it is a very nice place to play pool although they are pricey. I was unable to join the league because after 6pm was 18 and over and the league starts after 6  Any good pool halls with...

    What do you do here?

OK. Since no push allowed. I would still take an intentional foul hitting the eight and trying to move the 10 or block the 10 from going or something along those lines. I would just hope that those two balls stop my opponent from running out.

    What do you do here?

I would hit the eight ball on the left side and try to leave the cue ball between the middle diamond and the corner pocket frozen to the rail to eliminate any change of a billiard onto the 10. This is assuming that a push out is allowed.

    Tangent Line

You have a 10 degree cut and you hit it at speed A and it travels down the tangent line. Then say you have a 40 degree cut shot at the same distance and you want it to go down the tangent line so you hit it at the same speed A. Is this possible hitting the same speed? In other words, as the...

    Aiming by Fractions.

The fractional aiming method can also be used to play safeties PJ. In "Play Your Best Eight Ball" I recall Phil Capelle stating that there are different hits on the object ball that is 1/2 ball hit, full hit etc. I think this is the best method to play safeties.

    Aiming by Fractions.

Taken from the article: There you have it, the secrets of aiming from dozens of the top players who do it best. But then again, is the secret really out? #2 ranked C.J. Wiley offers that you must aim before you get down on the ball by lining up correctly, of course, but adds that as far as...

Player sees 1/2 tip of right as dead center ball?

A question for our instructors/knowledgeable players. So if it appears that I am hitting the right side of the cue ball based on my perception even though its center ball I could move my head position to the left to fix my perception issue? Thanks

    3rd Eye Stroke Trainer

I just got the 3rd Eye Stroke Trainer and I can already see how helpful this product will be. The gaps between the 3rd Eye Stroke Trainer are too big for me. What would you recommend doing? Also, it looks so far off-center with the stroke trainer that it is hard to recall the picture when I...

    Tips of English

I use back-hand english and I pivot 1 tip at a time. In other words, say I am applying 2.5tips of english I pivot 1 tip then another tip over and then 1/2 tip over. I do this to make sure I am exactly putting the amount of english on the cue ball that I want. I find that I am more successful...

How bad of a habit is it?

i don't think it is effective to break while using a open bridge (this is if you are breaking hard enough).... the cue fly's of the vee of your bridge. Personally it diminishes my power and accuracy. just look at all the pros, i can't think of one who uses a open bridge to break. I would think...

What makes the Filipinos SO STRONG!

In the Philippines pool is much more popular than in the US. If more people would play in the US then there would be more great players. As for now the Filipinos are dominating, not the americans. The US cannot always dominate every sport.
