    Gold Crown model question

Been a long time since I posted here but I am in the market for a used 8ft pool table. I can't afford a Diamond but have been looking around for some GC. I see a lot of GC3's discussed but not much on GC4's. Is there something with the 4s that people try to avoid them or are they just not as...

    My first 860 install

Heck no that is why I posted the pictures! I did check them tonight and it may be more of a shadow than anything. I am going to check them again tomorrow when I am not so tired and roll a ball down the rail and make sure. I ain't no's mechanic that is fo sho. But I love learning the technique...

    My first 860 install

Much appreciated. However, these are simply sections of cloth folded glued and then glued to the pocket. No staples or plumbing strap. I hope they hold up. If they don't I will just do them again with the scraps that I have left. I don't know how you stretch cloth but if the way I did mine is...

    WTB Cloth and Table Light

Ky. I can figure up shipping if you would like when I get home. Packing it is my main concern to prevent breakage. Where would it need to be shipped to? I will cut you a very good deal since I don't plan on using it.

    My first 860 install

Not really looking to become a tech but glad to see if I need to that I have a possible career. When I see the covering jobs here and then look at local halls I figure I could do a better job (albeit slower) and be happier with it. Can't say I am disappointed with this attempt.

    My first 860 install

Yes I noticed that also. I missed that flaw due to the curve balls the Simonis was throwing me that the Velocity did not. I know better next time. I am definitely pleased with the stretch and the straightness. Thanks to all the mechanics on here that post pictures, tips, and how to's of their...

    My first 860 install

I left the logo on there intentionally. Kinda liked it. It is very difficult to see when playing or just glancing at the table. Man do I love the 860 on my home table though. Thanks for all the feedback.

    My first 860 install

Steepleton. I bought it used but I think it is called the playmate. Not a very high quality table but does job.

    My first 860 install

Here are the pictures of my second recovering job and the first one with 860. I did Velocity Pro the first time and it was a completely different experience this time. The quality of the two are very different. Simonis is not as forgiving but I learned a couple tricks this time. Very tight...

    Simonis stretch

Well I started my table today and I can honestly say that getting my rails half way decent with 860 has been more than a challenge compared to Velocity pro. I am not sure yet that I am satisfied so I am taking a break today. By the way never buy a Steepleton table. I don't care if you can't...

    Simonis stretch

I will buy the DVD when ever it comes out and if it is time for new cloth then so be it. If not then I will watch it and prepare for when it is. Like they say, "Good things come to those who wait". And I don't have a choice in this matter so a waiting I will be. Hopefully have GC or Diamond by...

    Simonis stretch

Yeah I found some very key posts. The funny thing is the items I discovered on one of those post was in line with what I thought would be a good way to start an install. Very similar to stretching large pieces of carpet. I still have some voids that I need to fill before I am comfortable knowing...

    Simonis stretch

And Rick has always answered my questions and given me great service anytime I have dealt with him. Anyone looking to purchase cloth would have come across these instructions on just about every site that sells cloth. Anyone with common sense would know that when they apply it to all cloths that...

    Simonis stretch

I was not referring to waiting on a specific method but the DVD for the last year. I have know idea what is even on the DVD. But I would like to see it just to satisfy my curiosities with the amazing work that you all do on these tables. Just for the record I am not knocking anyone on here for...

    Simonis stretch

I have been waiting on the DVD for the last year and my cushions could not wait any longer. And sorry I cannot afford to pay 3-4 hundred dollars in labor to get the cushions and cloth replaced. I will get it done and it will be at a quality better than most normal home tables but no where near...

    Simonis stretch

I am curious as to who uses the suggested Simonis stretch pattern for 860. As a DIY I see some good and some bad with the stretch pattern Simonis presents. Who actually uses this? Glen, SDBilliards, etc.. very curious. I honestly don't think that many actually use their pattern as released...

    Rkc Dvd

I have read and been so excited about this DVD! When and where is it going to be available? I have been on here for nearly a year and waiting on it ever since. Glen we need the DVD. As a home DIY guy I love doing this stuff just to learn. When I screw it up and can't fix it or figure out how to...
