    Celebrity Endorsement of CTE/Pro1

See Photo Below Ozzy is clearly using a line on the table to check his Pro1 pivot. When asked about Pro1 Ozzy replied "It's the dogs bollocks man!" followed by "Bob's your uncle"... and " I...I...I...ALL ABOARD!"

How would you shoot this? Layout Included.

The game is 8 ball and you are solids. 5 ball cannot be banked back across to side or to the corner pocket since the 6 & 10 balls are in the way. The 6 cannot be cut into the corner without scratching in the side - no way to avoid the scratch. It cannot be banked since the 10 ball is...

A new level of tournament dumb ass.

So I am shooting in a tournament last weekend and this kid in his 20's whipped out his smart phone. He then starts playing around with his strobe light app and shining it in all his friends faces at the table they are sitting around. Consequently it is flashing in my peripheral vision and its...

Players Pure X Break Cue Review

I purchased a Players Pure X Model HXT-P1 around a month ago. I was looking for a short breaker on a budget. This cue was $195.00 from Nielsen's Billiards (Joerackem) The first thing I had to overcome was the brand name of Players. I have always considered them to be pretty cheaply made. The...

    CET/Pro1 - My Journey.

Been playing pool for 35 years - had a job traveling on the road making good money which afforded me the luxury of playing on the road against a variety of players, some unknown and some well known. I got a call once from Hal Mix who was Nick Varner's coach. I met up with Hal and discussed the...

Do you watch your league team members play?

I play Masters APA and I have a supportive team.We typically play on one table so we can hang out for awhile. We all watch our teammates play their matches. I do see a lot of other teams whose members play their match and leave immediately. Sometimes the first two players leave immediately when...

Who cares about pro pool anyway?

Very few that's who. Outside of AZ world very few know or care about the state of pro pool. I know local league players who play competitively 3 times a week or more. The majority of them couldn't name three top players from the modern era. I really have no idea why any manufacturer supports...

What is a pool hall? Pool room?

So what is the defining factor that makes a business pool room? Is a sports bar with 6 or more tables a pool room? Do you need 9 footers to qualify? Can you have TV's everywhere with sports and be a pool room or does that make it a sports bar? Is there a difference?

Everyone Uses an Aiming System - CTE

There is no one on the planet who does not use an aiming system - all pool players started out using a system. I keep reading the term 'feel' player - a feel player is simply a player who started with an aiming system and used it long enough that the system became ingrained and they no longer...

    Stevie & a CTE Pivot.

Caught Stevie making a nice little CTE manual pivot. Pretty hard to spot him using Pro1 'see and shoot' but this one was an obvious manual pivot. It made me happy and that's all that really counts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIsH8Wv8v1o

Going in for surgery in 12 hours.

Forgive me if its not pool related. I am checking into the hospital in the morning to have a few hernias repaired. I've had worse surgeries but any surgery is serious. Just wanted to let my AZ friends know, say a prayer for me. Be back on AZ soon I'm sure.
