Does Your Poolroom Allow Players to Eat While Playing?

$2.00 per Day x 350 Days per Year = $700.00 per Year When I asked a former room owner in my area about the wear and tear on the cloth from the food and drinks crowd his response was this... If a table can't make me $2.00 a day so I can recover it a couple times a year then I am probably in the...

    APA rule question

23 and 19 rules... If I recall correctly... As long as one of your unavailable players on your roster was a SL 3 or below so that you could have met the 23 Rule w/ them present... You would only forfeit the last match... The 19 Rule comes into play when you can not field a 5 player team at...

    Rule Question?

Popular misconception... The whole "tie goes to the runner" rule does not exist... At least not in MLB and most organized sports entities... Backyard, sand lot games it was incorporated and accepted to give the players in a non officiated game an easier way to make the call... But in reality...

    APA scorekeeping; safeties

Kicking with out the intent to pocket a ball... What I have found to help people understand is this explanation... Why were you kicking to just hit the ball and make legal contact? Usually the response is I did not want to give you ball in hand... I reply then you were defending against giving...

Any thoughts on "The Pro book"

Boundries Explained... The boundary shots are the extremes to the left and right of the original shots. In the diagrams place an object ball at the end or the boundary line closest to the same pocket you have been shooting to and a cue ball at the other end of the boundary line. Now create the...

    Fear of Feel

The Process... I haven't read through all of the post yet but want to add a little food for thought... The age old argument is system or feel? 2 camps both dead set they are right. Well in my opinion they are right. Both of them. I think it is a process we all go through. The way I explain it...

    Central Ohio Open... Columbus Ohio

Just out of curiosity... How much are the greens fees per event and are there any other fees being taken out of the entries? Thanks and good luck w/ the event.

    entry fees+added money-TD fee-greens fee=really?

The smart room owners are covering the Added $$$ via sponsors, raffles, etc... That way it is not out of pocket. So any greens fees collected are in fact income to the room. Those who chose to donate are hedging the Added $$$ with the greens fees to create a smaller loss for the room.

    DCC Show Me The Money

I keep telling players... If you want to win more money... Pay a higher entry fee and get more players to do the same... Where is all this added (free) $$$ suppose to come from? I would really like to know.

    draw changes cut angle, normal?

To Everyone... Great insight and input.. I wish all threads went this smoothly.

    draw changes cut angle, normal?

What no one has mentioned yet is something mentioned in Don Feeney's video series... When a shot is hit with a firm draw stroke the cue ball tends to lift off the table thus over cutting from both sides as the cue ball and object ball centers do not make contact.

    Ivory vs. Ivorine for Inlays

For the $$$ I couldn't tell the difference... When I had my cue built Dan showed me two inlays... One was ivory and one was elforyn... I could not tell the difference between the two as is true with most people with just a general knowledge... People / players just assume it is all ivory when...

A message from Emily Duddy to all pool players

Nice... I see the point about being a pro and still acting unprofessionally and agree 100%. But it is my opinion that these players are still pros based on the fact that they are paid to play or trying to earn an income from playing not on there ability. But I do see your point of view and it...
