    Les Blevins Cue

Interesting, I wasn't aware. Looks like you got a solid cue out of it.

    Les Blevins Cue

I didn't know airports sold unclaimed baggage. Do you know how long it was there? Someone flying with a cue of that vintage/quality would probably want it back.

A visit with Nick Varner (plus new Joss cue)

Great stuff, Nick is a good dude for sure. I squared off in a lag contest with him at a lesson and took him to the hill! It was best of three, but still...

    60 inch cue

I experimented recently with a 60 inch cue and went back to a 58 inch cue. I was gripping the very rear of a 58 inch but found my hand was too far back, and moving it forward seems to have helped my stroke. I'm a little under 6 foot. I also think 58 inch cues hit better, though that's...

    Go-Fund Me Plea

    Sweet piece of lumber!

ID help with Pawn Shop find!

I've never seen a Mike Stacey with a Radial pin, he tends to use 3/8x11. Kevin Varney used that collar color quite a bit, but like some have said, it's a big universe of makers out there.

Does Being Tall Offer Advantages in Pool?

Amen to that! Here in Florida I still play on Gandy tables regularly and they must be at least an inch lower than Diamonds and GCs. I do feel I miss more long shots on them when I'm tired.

    2025 Men's World 10-Ball Championship, Sept. 20-28 -- General Comments Thread

Watched the final today while doing housework. Ko playing with a wood shaft with nearly one inch ferrule (Zen?), time for us to work on our cueing...

    Stolen Searing

Horrible news to hear. My first suspicion is a local theft around West Palm. Dennis' name could be known to employees of the carrier, sort of like that high end watch maker whose name escapes me...been a few high profile thefts from racing drivers recently. I'll keep an eye out...one...

    Expensive Cue Shooter

On the positive for those worried about their fancy cues in public, it seems there are fewer people who "appreciate" them with the carbon craze. Probably not a positive for market values though. It seems rare nowadays when someone checks out my cue. The younger players seemingly could not care...

Pros or cons playing with light shaft (approximately 3.0 oz)

I haven't noticed any real differences in all the wood shafts I've used regarding weight. As long as the overall cue weight is suitable and the shaft is well made, I don't see any issues. It seems there is a bit of a myth that heavier shafts are inherently better as the wood must be more...

    Sold Dark Roast Kielwood Shafts

Does not look like a Radial pin to me. More like 3/8x10 or 11.

Kielwood Cue Shaft - Possibly F/S

    Nice lumber there!

Kielwood Cue Shaft - Possibly F/S

That is his standard ring pattern. Do you know if it's his standard jont diamater of ~0.842? Those shafts seem to sell fast on other sites, so if priced reasonably I think you'll be able to sell fairly quickly.

    Men's 2025 World 8-Ball Championship, Bali, Oct.7-13

I agree there and think data would show a high percentage of 8 ball racks only have one player come to the the table. Top players have too many skills not to try to run out.

    American pool in London?

I played at Riley's several years back. I think they have a few locations. American tables in addition to English tables and snooker. It was a decent place.

    US Open 08/18-23

He's become of my favorite players. Disappointed he fell today but the margins are so slim at this level. That match had some high quality safety battles.

    US Open 08/18-23

I've always been impressed by how he gets down on the shot, even difficult ones, and pulls them off with only a couple practice strokes. He must have supreme confidence in his alignment. Even Filler or Shaw take a few more strokes on those power shots.

    US Open 08/18-23

I noticed that too, think he has always done that but it really stands out in this cut break era. I have visions of Johnny Archer or Tony Ellin from the 90s.
