My stance on shooting high.....For some players shooting a little high seems to make them a better player....but if they get too high thier game falls apart and becomes a blithering mess.....so getting high(er) is not always better. ;)

All aiming/alingment systems are simply tools to get you the right feel to make your cut. CTE is just an over elaborate system that takes work to understand and effectively apply....not that it "can't" get you the correct feel...it is just a bit more than is necessary to get the job...

Here is what I don't get.....After the eye sighting, then re-sighting, then eye drifting...He lays his cue down at center CB to center GB.......Why not just do that from the get go??????🤔

This looks like one of those "subconcious" misses.....Here is what I mean.....Most likely you were hitting a stun/stop type shot to keep the CB above the 7 or at least higher up on the 7 to make it easier to get on the 8. Subconciously you felt like you were going to lose CB to the rail below...

IMO...It looks to me like the butt of the cue (grip hand) raises up on backstroke....The more power in the shot....the more it looks to raise up (and a more noticable head raise)....Your head and upper body seems to naturally compensate (raise up) with the cue. I "suspect" your whole upper body...
