    Lowballing prices

Not real sure why you posted the question you did sir. It seems you're looking for validation on your choosing to be insulted by a 75% offer. Your analogy of a boss telling you he'll only pay you 75% for next week isn't a valid comparison. You got hired at a specific rate. That was already...

    Why not one piece butt

Are any of the cues left in vehicles in the summer or winter? While you may not be hard on the cues, temperature changes can have effects on both epoxy and other glue joints that may cause what you're describing. My $.02

    Dallas TX Pool Scene?

Wow... RG asked him to call him so he would help with a location that would be close to where they were staying. Seems you didn't see it that way and suspected some nefarious scheme. Hopefully you don't judge everyone you meet this harshly.

    Shaking My Head...

Just don't ever get new pool balls. The balls will slowly become smaller, and will be harder to rack. But, I guess one's born every minute, so if they can get 175.00 for them from pool rooms, then the pool rooms will be the one's who suffer. People will either get a magic rack or something...

Kamui pool cue tip questions for you expierenced users or sellers

When the Kamui Black tips came out, there was an article on the tanning process and the differences. This is from memory so may be off just a bit. But... The Black tips are more moisture resistant, so due to this, play just a hair firmer or harder than their normally tanned counter parts. The...

Tip thread. What is on your cue?

Ki-Tech Medium. So far the best tip I've ever hit with. Long lasting, doesn't mushroom, grabs like crazy, great feedback from the cue, and reasonably priced.

People Who Bring Their Own Balls To Pool Hall...

For those that play recreationally, bringing in your own set of pool balls sounds fine. For anyone that would play in tournaments or leagues, it would seem to hamper your game. Learning to quickly adjust to different pool tables, balls, conditions, etc. is part of the game. If you only play...

Comments about my game would be appreciated!

Lacking a Pre-shot routine I watched about 2.5 games. The biggest thing I see is your pre-shot routine is inconsistent at best, or missing altogether on many shots. Back stroke looked fairly smooth, so that's a plus. Didn't see any shots where you had to shoot hard, so can't say how...

    Keith McCready has shirts

But wouldn't the quote be from "Grady Seasons"? Not from Keith McCreedy. Keith just played Grady Seasons, who had that line. Yes?

    Replacing a tip on Tru-Glide S.S.T. shaft

Thanks for the replies. After facing off the ferrule, I scored it, and then put a pad on the tip. Played with it for a full rack of balls, hitting pretty hard, and with lots of spin. Seems to be holding. I'll give it a go and see what happens. Again.. thanks.

    Replacing a tip on Tru-Glide S.S.T. shaft

I've talked with a couple of cue repair techs, and the S.S.T. shaft is getting a reputation that it's very hard to put a tip on them that will stay. Has anyone run into this issue, and more importantly, anyone know of a way to get tips to stay on? Thanks.....

Q? about buying a second cue...

I've not been able to find any Huebler cues that are model EH-1 or HE-1 as it shows in the photo. Here's a link to what I was able to find. http://billiardwarehouse.tripod.com/huebler.html I would assume this is the AS-E1 Series, as it's a stained maple series, which retails for 160.00 ish...

Allison Fisher called a foul on herself on a hill-hill match!

Insulting someone's intellect. Classy. So if you foul, and no one is there to call it, you'll cheat, and when your ethics are called into question, you then stoop to insults. Good luck sir.

Allison Fisher called a foul on herself on a hill-hill match!

So, if the rule is, the tip of your cue can't touch any ball other than the cue ball. And it does. Did you commit a foul? It does not matter if there is a referee present or not. Did you commit a foul?
