Hi there,
Sorry I'm not that familiar with this cuemaker. Can you give me an example of a similar hitting cue/cuemaker?
Is the weight adjustable? Does it even have a weight bolt?
Thanks in advance.
If your talking about powder residue, I've taped wet paper towels to the end of a broomstick before basically making a large q-tip. Had to repeat it a few times, but it worked pretty well.
Rep to you for a stand up move. Welcome to the community. I personally like the image. Black and white has a simple straight forward understated look that isn't too flashy.
How do the sizes run? And is the material all cotton? Pre-shrunk?
Had a similiar situation as well. First time playing league at this place and walk up to the front entrance to find 2 bullet holes right through the steel door. A quick glance to the right and there's another one through the picture window were one of the tables is sitting.
We took turns...
Your opponent would have been better off freezing the CB to the OB. In APA it's not illegal to push through the ball. Personally, I think it's a stupid rule (non-rule), but it is what it is.
I like that rule and wish we had it around here. Every season there is a new player to the APA that loses his first match intentionally and drops to a 3 only to play a 7 the next week and beat him 2-0 in 3 innings.
This shot came up a couple months ago and I believe it was Neil that said to play the double kiss off the left side to bank cross side pocket. After he posted that I tried it quite a few times and it was almost a dead bank.
Looks something like this...
Sorry about that

This one's given me fits before too. It's come up multiple times for me.
I practiced it for about an hour after the last determined that I would be scared no more!
This would be mine

I've had similar layouts where they were off the rail and I could bank the last 3, but those long ultra thin cuts are my nemesis:mad:
Another one that has bitten me in the ass more times than I can count is: Don't Slow Roll Anything! More often than not the table is not level and the ball will inevitably drift away from your target line.
One cheap easy fix is buying an Aramith magnetic ball. Pretty close in weight and feel as a standard ball, but won't get stuck in the table. I carry one in my bag, cuz I hate trying to control a mud ball.
Edit: Guess Woody beat me to this one!
I have wondered this exact same thing. I'd be willing to trade whatever advantage (if any) the phenolic tip provides in power for the control of a leather tip, but I wasn't sure if it was possible.
Just because someone is "better" than you doesn't mean they know more than you. They just are able to execute what they know better than you are able to execute what you know. I've seen some really good players take some really dumb shots. Conversely, I've seen some really bad players attempt...
I'd hit the 5 into the 8 and leave the 8 in front of the side pocket with your opponents 3 and 5 stuck on the rails with the 12 and 8 blocking the outs. Your giving up BIH, but it would be tough for your opponent to get out.
scorpion
Just received a cue I purchased from scorpion. Cue was packaged great and exactly as described. I couldn't be happier with the transaction.
Yup
Played on an L shaped table once...and only once. It was pretty gimmickey. Good for just hanging out with friends while drinking, but wouldn't bet YOUR dime on a game.
