    Pleasant find in my area

I wish I could say I STILL played there. I moved out west in 2011 and have not seen it since Tim reopened it. It was originally opened by the Parillo brothers (Robert and Ralph) as Main Street Billiards (in 2009, I believe). My all-time favorite place to play. I loved the wooden floors and the...

can the commentators slam the USA more?

Just got home from day three of MC and I wasn't able to hear the commentators so I can't say there was any bias, but I can say that there were three things that really stuck out to me: 1. The Euro fans are way more into it and much louder. For being on American soil, the Euros sure seem to have...

    Diabetic Pro players and competeing....

You forgot fhe one risk factor that you have no control over - genetics. It does not care what you eat and how you live. You simply have no say when it comes to family history. I speak from experience.

    another apa thread

In the long run I'd be happy to play someone that bangs the balls when they don't have a decent shot. More often than not your opponent will leave you a decent look, when a well-played safety may not have. It's like playing poker against someone that just wants to keep drawing to the nuts. How...

Florence Fuller - for AZ member 'PushOut'

I haven't been there in years. I moved to the Albany area in 96 and recently relocated to Southern Utah. I did stop in one afternoon about 2-3years ago when I was driving from Albany to Maryland. The entire "upper" section was closed and there were only about 8-10 tables down in the lower...

Florence Fuller - for AZ member 'PushOut'

Thanks for the pic Billie. The first pool room I ever went in was the Pocket Billiard lounge back in the late 70's/early 80's. I remember Florence working the counter and beating up on the regulars in the Tuesday night 8-Ball tournament. I also had the opportunity to see and chat with Florence...

    Whatever happened to Danny Basavich?

Bristol Bob continued with his painting and has some very nice billiards related artwork. They were on display at Turning Stone in Dec. and you can check them out on his website at bristolsportsart.com

    Pool rooms in Southern Utah?

Moving to St. George Utah (about 90mins. north of Vegas) in Feb 2011 and can't seem to find much online about area pool rooms. I know there isn't a lot as far as bars in the area, but someone please tell me there is at least some place to play - hopefully with some type of league/tourneys...
