OK this is ask the cuemaker ... so ...

It is the true cost of the tip to manufacture it. If it costs the same to make as all other layered tips then you are paying for a NAME not performance.

    Stolen Cues

Part of the problem is positively identifying YOUR cue if it is recovered and proving it is yours. There is a company that makes a stamp called MicroMark ... it will stamp your name so small you can barely see it unless you know where it is and use a magnifying glass. Very good insurance for...

OK this is ask the cuemaker ... so ...

Kim to a degree your statement is correct but not absolute. I see the Chalk industry is learning from the Tip industry and starting to sell $20 custom chalk cubes. Yeah ... a cube of chalk is worth $20 because it is so much better. Think how much better a $100 cube of chalk would be. Wish I was...

Wanted to buy ... WilleeCue ...

All the flux generating capacitors used in the making of WilleeCues expired and need to be revised and updated. Without this revision the law of improbability will cause a player to miss an easy out now and then.

5 min Epoxy. The correct answer!

Golf shafting epoxy that is designed for impact type applications is what I use. Am I right or wrong here. Have never had any failures yet. Carbon Fiber is new to me and I am open to new procedures about good solid bonding. No cue maker want any of his his joint work to fail.

I want to ask how many cue makers think that UltraSkin tips are a better value than the more expensive tips? You know the ones I am talking about. $4 ver $20 to $60 tips. I have been promoting them to my customers as a fantastic value for a replacement tip. And as a side note I have been putting...

Beware of new users who have "just what you are looking for"

Folks ... It is getting really bad ... every time I post something for sale I get scammers trying to scam me. Please be very careful to who you send money to. Dont fall for that check that is more than what you asked. Why cant the government do something about the rampart theft on the internet?

    WTB Beginner's Lathe

"Entry Level Lathe" That would be ANY lathe used by a beginner. Two choices are presented to you ... You can either buy new or used. Quality used equipment sells fast ... New equipment has a waiting period. Chris Hightower (CueSmith Lathes) has been making lathes specificity for cue making for...

Superglue ... get all you pay for.

Superglue gel seems to be the top choice to glue on a new tip. If you buy and use it in those Locktite blue plastic bottles here is something you might not know. Dont throw away those squeeze bottles when they seem empty. Cut it apart and you will find that there is still about 20% usable glue...

    Carbon Fiber Shafts ...

Haven't been making cues ... only 2 in the last 12 months ... health and eye problems. Getting better and perhaps I will make a few new cues this year. I noticed that a lot of the pros still play with a wood shaft. Not that I would ever play that good no matter what shaft I used. Just curious...

    Snake wood....

SnakeWood like Ivory has it down sides. I always try a new wood in a pen to see how it cuts, shapes, finishes, and stays stable. SnakeWood is hard, brittle, finishes beautifully smooth, has good contrast and detail. But the stuff I had tended to crack over time.

    Carbon Fiber Shafts ...

Has the dust settled yet on the wood verses carbon fiber shafts? Should an average player invest in one? What do you think makes a Carbon Fiber shaft more desirable than a Maple shaft? Does that relate to less missed shots or better position?

    The perfect cue building lathe

The Porper Q lathe "B" was very close. Pros: Lightweight and moveable. Independent lead screw motor. Lockable head stock with calibrated degree stops. Full length taper bar for butts and shafts. Heavy Duty foot speed control. Very rugged construction. I have used one for 20 years and it is...
