    Where to order shirts?

I do team shirts and event shirts for tournaments. I'd be happy to take a look at your artwork and let you know what the cost/time frame would be. Just shoot me a pm or email and I'll let you know. Tammie Jones Chameleon Designs

    Billy Incardona

On very few things do my dear hubby and I strongly agree.....but on this - we do. Billy I is the nuts. He can be simplistic enough that the avg Joe can understand and follow but can mix in just the right amount of advanced shot, strategy, position - and lingo....to make us (the pool players)...

Should women be allowed to compete in US Open 9 Ball Championship?

I'm not taking one side or the other.....I'm just saying that I really miss the days when the women played alongside the men - in a separate event - at the US Open (and most other tournaments as well). I really miss those days and truly see it as a "knock" on the sport that we don't have that...

Any Pool Halls in Hot Springs Ark

I haven't been there since 95 but at that time there was a room in the bowling alley and a little bit of action as well.....other than that they have had a few come and go but nothing stayed..... sorry! Tammie

Archie the Greek--The Worlds Greatest Gambler

I believe that Bobby has been "promoted" once more....I think he is actually the top dog on the new "City Center" project. Wynn put him in charge of it and it is - without question - the largest project ever built in this country...... Wynn has faith in Bobby for a reason.... Tammie Jones

The Weldon Rogers stories I promised to share...

"There was a ton of action at the Hilltop Bar and Motel. Sixty miles away in Longdale resided Bill Duggan, a weak player who might arrest you and throw you in jail for not gambling. When Bill said “the store is open” that meant you could bet anything you wanted. " Grady.....Bill DID arrest a...

We played in some tournaments but never gambled....I stayed out on the road quite a bit after the first couple of years. I think she started playing pretty much after we hit the road and I only saw her a few times after that.

There is one thing that bothers me about the time frame of 1979...is that I was in GW during that time period and from the time I started there, they used the back wall for the tournament chart....the back wall can be seen in the video at 3:14 - behind Jimmy Wax and to the left of the back...

Yep...Earl Rapier. Earl taught me so much about pool its unbelievable. Most of which I didn't "learn" until much later. He was way too advanced for me to comprehend it all at the level I was at then, but that didn't stop him from trying. Bless his heart, he was patient. Very quiet and very...

I think I know which seafood restaurant....I never really was into the chicken or dog fights other than to be at the bars when things broke up so that we could "meet" the winners.....outside of Lake Charles was a favorite spot. I'm real familiar with the GS Rd and the State Hospital...

Louis Drake! That's another name from the past.....please be sure and tell him that I said hello (Wesley was my last name then...). Those were some great days and I sure miss them..... I am pretty sure that I will remember you well - things are starting to roll around in my brain now (there's...

Great pic of JD! Brings back memories. Many people didn't realize how good a player he was, but he was a nice guy to us as well. JD managed and owned a Rack or two through the years and that is where I started playing tournaments. My Dad and the same group of guys that worked together at...

You are right about the money flowing.....between the plant "turn-arounds" at the chem and oil plants and the off-shore rig workers to the just downright great money that was being made in many different fields in La. there was money everywhere....not to bring politics into it, but Louisiana was...

Back in those days I was real tight with Dot - and therefore Lambert - so we never played. Dot was always putting me in action or taking me somewhere to play. We made many trips out of town either for tournaments or to set up a play somewhere.....we had some good times, some reeeallyyyy good...

Yep, it was probably him....it wasn't that he was a giant of a guy, but I only weighed in at 5'2" and 90 lbs.....so he was a giant to me! He was a good guy.....another story... back when GW had the illegal machines in, Henry was the "mover" when they were getting raided. GW didn't actually...

Wow.....this thread is bringing back memories... I think I'm the "Earl's girlfriend" you guys are referring to! Yep....had horses and did a lot of horse-showing and rodeoing back then. Would leave a show and trailer to the pool room! My uncle had a little-known running QH at the time...

    Jeanette and Vivian ?

I also had logged on and couldn't stomach the crap going on. I actually was interested in having my 11 yr old daughter sit down with me to watch the match and chat with Robin (er....to my daughter - that's Drakes Mom!). That quickly went away. I am glad that the chat was disabled. I did put...
