If there is a difference on cuts it’s lost on me at my skill level. I expected less throw but if there really was less it is very small.
I noticed maybe a little difference in rebound off cushions, might slide a bit more, reducing the rebound angle.
Based on other comments in this thread, I tried Pledge. Wow, what a difference. The CB acts like it's on brand-new cloth.
The measles ball is untreated. The Rempe training ball is treated. These two shots are exactly the same distance between the balls and the pockets. The "Pledged" ball...
Good thought but the league swaps out the hall’s balls for new-ish Aramith balls.
And this wasn’t a problem for me before the last re-cloth of all their tables.
Hmmm…. Gives me an idea…..
At the hall I always seem to overdraw the CB, especially when trying to stun with the CB, say, 2 feet away from the OB. It has cost me numerous racks and matches in the last few months (including scratches!) because my table at home plays differently from the cloth at...
I am late to this thread but I would like to comment on this post. Why does Fargo need to account for table specs when the criteria is mainly based on win/loss? Does the opponent play your match on a 9’ while you are on a 7’? No, I didn’t think so….
26 today, 9’ Goldenwest. BFD. LOL.
FR429 but last reported match in Fall, '24. Learned a lot and playing much better than last Fall; league I am in doesn't report to Fargo.
True story: one of my wife's ditzy friends, when her son was growing up, said "he's only five inches shorter than me! He's 4'11", I'm 5'2"." Then proceeds to count on her fingers "4-11, 4-12, 5 foot, 5-1, 5-2."
Border Collies are similar. We are currently living with our third and fourth. Awesome, awesome dogs (see my avatar - they are biological brothers 2.5 years apart.) Scary smart and very trainable but also super high energy requiring not only physical stimulation but also mental stimulation...
I fully appreciate that commentating is taxing work. All I ask is that the match not be ignored. It's not that hard to intersperse a sentence or two at least every two shots, then go back to the story you were telling. I mean, to watch two beautiful BnRs without even mentioning it and the...
NFI WPBA 9-ball event, Brunswick Borderline Billiards, Kristina Tkach v Kelly Fisher showing right now on Billiard TV:
I don’t know who the female commentators were but these two talked about anything but the match being played for two racks (when I happened to start watching), including a nice...
I was watching a pro match on Billiards TV last night. I think it was 8-ball but I don’t remember where and they didn’t say what year it was from but regardless….
“Albin” was commentator. I assume that was Oushan. He mentioned like a half a dozen times how Masters causes skids. SVB was using...
So it's going to cost me more to park than the ticket. Crap, I never even thought about having to pay for parking.
I suppose food concessions will be outrageously expensive, too. Oh, well. I look forward to being there!
Reminds me:
I have done a lot of track days. At Sebring I saw the best vanity tag.
In the auto enthusiast world, the Nissan GTR is
nicknamed “Godzilla.”
Vanity plate on a GTR: “GODZIRA”.
