I already have the rail bolt cut and the rail removed. Now i need to get the bolt out of the threaded washer. I will drill the bolt out and attempt to save the washer, but Im not optimistic. I was hoping to avoid taking off the cushion. Thanks everyone. --- J

thanks for the offer... i need to get the bolt out of the threaded flat nut in the rail. Does anyone know how those are inserted into the rail? Does the cushion need to be removed?

thread length Thanks SD!! The bolt is nearly perfectly flat to the back of the rail. I think I will give your idea a try. Do you know how you would replace the flat washer? I appreciate it... jkugel

Hi all!! I just picked up a GCIII in decent shape, but when I was taking it apart one of the rail bolts would not turn loose...:yikes: The nut inside the rail just kept spinning. I ended up just cutting the bolt to get the rail off. :eek: Anyone here ever half this issue, and how can you...
