Those machines spin the balls too fast. There's no need for the platter to spin more than 500 rpm. Faster spin = more friction = more heat = potential for ruining a ball. No thanks. High quality pool balls are expensive. It's not worth the risk, IMO.

One thing to be aware of when powder coating old cast parts: outgassing. There's gas trapped in the casing which gets released through heating it up during the powder coating process. Some of my pieces had to be done multiple times. My coater didn't charge me extra but yours might. Just an FYI.

Nice! Did you adjust the angle of the pocket openings? When pockets are reduced in size, it's sometimes necessary to alter the angle of the pocket cut so they aren't too wide. If they are too wide, you'll be left with the Olhausen Rattle. What are the pocket angles in the corners?

Extending the subrails gives shimming the 4 out.

Not really. It's all about practicing and knowing the table.

My Gold Crown I has 4.125” corners and 4.875” sides. I can and do run out. My personal best on my table is a 5 pack, both in 8B and 9B; Two in a row playing 10B. That being sad, there’s more to the game than BNR’s.

These were not chromed from the factory. They were clear anodized polished aluminum as were the rail trim, rail counters and ball return trim if so equipped. The only pieces that were chrome plated were the nameplate and ball storage tray bezel. Both were pot metal. Two feet were offered...
