I tried an OB Classic on my 80's production Palmer. I have to say, I was reluctant for years on LD shafts but I like it. Once the Everest tip broke in and I removed some layers this shaft feels really nice. I just started playing as if it was a regular shaft and it grew on me after a few weeks...
I need some advice on getting a shaft made to match my PB line Palmer cue.
It has stitch rings which is my main objective, getting a shaft with matching stitch rings.
I never heard that it would hurt my game from anyone. I made that up in my head. I just had a few concerns, but as long as i'm playing it's all good.
I just want to progressively get better, and I think the small track itself is keeping me from doing so.
Thanks again for the input everyone.
I think I may keep the barbox but get to the pool hall more:thumbup:.
I can sharpen up the game at the pool hall with some straight pool.
Thanks for the advice guys.
I guess I really did know the answer to my question, I just wanted affirmation.
I am wondering if a nine foot table would hurt my barbox game? Just entertaining the idea of getting a nine foot table for the house and selling the barbox. What are the pro's and con's to each. Space isn't an issue for one table (can't have both). I only compete in barbox league play but like...
I was in deadstroke at the age of 12 and was hooked! Played in my first tournament that day. I played everyday after school on a red valley bar box in a sporting goods/skate shop/hangout place (buckets for pockets).
Everyone else was 16-20 years old and scoffed at me entering the tournament...
Does anyone know what material Ivorette is? I have an old Palmer production cue that has one, and I would like to identify the material so if I ever have to replace it I'll know what it is.
Thanks
Andy
I was wondering the same thing. Maybe he taught himself to use the system and found out what it was called later in life?
I have tried the same system on cut shots and find it is super consistant. At least I think it is what system Shane uses?
I was hesitant on sending the old rails but RKC, your advice is all I need. RackemBilliards thank you as well. I read many of your posts and really appreciate your work Glen. By the way, do either of you guys have an opinion on how I.K. tables play? I personally love mine.
Thanks Much
Andy
I am in need of a rails on an Irving Kaye bar box and do not want to ship the original rails out. I was told they have to be shipped by a few companies. I would like to have the table recovered with simonis while having the rails made. Any suggestions, or companies? A new table is out of the...
I think Pool Dawg 8 milk duds are hard to beat. You install them and chalk them. To me they perform well with any chalk and need little to no maintenance. I have tried Moori Soft, Le Pro, Triangle, Elk Master, Tiger Soft, Triumph, WB, etc.
Great tips and seller!
Just wanted to let you know I absolutely love the way these tips play! I cut off a Moori soft and installed one of your tips. My cue felt dead and I was having miscue problems with the Moori. I did not trust the tip. Now I can just play without thinking about the tip...
I recently purchased a PB line Palmer from a fellow AZ'er but do not want to alter the original stich ring shaft 13mm. I am looking for a piloted maple shaft preferably around 12.5mm. If no one has a shaft I am interested in having one made. Any suggestions?
