When is it ok to "quit winner"?

When gambling, the duration should be defined before playing. If you don't define and your opponent quits at any point, that's his prerogative. He's under no obligation to keep playing. Let's look at it from the other guy's perspective. He's beaten you two sets in a row now and he decides to...

    Lets start playing Rotation!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rotation has one major downfall. It requires you to add numbers continuously during a run. This is an annoying factor which detracts from the enjoyment of the game. I personally prefer 15-ball rotation with the 5 ball, 10 ball and 15 ball all counting as a point. Get two points for the win.

    How to keep your concentration

If you want to see good concentration, just watch a child play a computer. They are totally emersed in the experience. When you are fully emersed, there's no mental chatter! You never find yourself in the moment, because once you realise you're in the moment, you're no longer in it. I...

    Cant Get Better

I would advise two things. 1/ Practice hitting a long straight-in shot and hit with topspin and pot both the OB and CB into the pocket. This teaches you everything about alignment and hitting the cue ball pure with no sidespin. 2/ Get some hole reinforcers and set up 3 balls randomly on...

    Two rail banks

Don't shoot them. It's a low percentage shot.

any tips for english and draw back?

Make sure you have a decent tip. Test how low you strike the cueball without miscuing. Hit the cloth after the ball on your follow through.

    A weak mind

If working on a preshot routine was the answer, professionals wouldn't miss easy shots under pressure. You need to look intraspectively to find your source of anxiety.

Stances with different heights for different shots

For most shots, it's best to be low to the table but many people would do well to raise their head position on short shots so that they can see at least some cloth between CB and OB. You don't want to obstruct your view of the OB with the CB!

How do you know which path to take for position?

Oftentimes, when you examine the language that the commentators you see on TV use, you will quickly notice that the way they call shots is often done in such a way as to cover themselves. One commentator that I see on the accustat's tapes calls the obvious pocket, waits until the player gets...

A game that I am developing.

Yes you can hit any ball you like providing your opponent hasn't called safe. Yes, you can hit the 5 into the 1. If you are the person who fills the third spot, you lose the game. The 7 ball can be made into any pocket but personally I would disallow slop and make the person specify which...

A game that I am developing.

This is a game that I have been creating. I'll give you the general overview. The game is racked in the same way for 7 ball. The pockets are numbered from 1-6 with pocket 1 being at the bottom right pocket and the remaining 5 are numbered ascending clockwise. The objective is to pot the...

The next level of 8 ball.

I've played this before and will provide some input. Adding the rotational aspect to a high congestion game increases the difficulty level to a point that too high for the majority of players. You need some other balancing factor because otherwise, you can have games that just go on forever...

    Aim System or Common sense?

Just look down the CB's path and see how the CB is going to knock the OB.

    When Ghost Ball isn't

Double the distance requires you to estimate the contact point from a perspective that is not inline with it. Viewing the balls as a cluster seperated by distance gets you to examine the relationship between the two balls. It's far easier to use and see. It's much closer to the way that...

    When Ghost Ball isn't

It's far more productive to think of Ghost ball aiming as "a cluster separated by distance which is aligned towards the pocket". You can't see an imaginary ghost ball but when you're down on the shot, you can see the cluster separated by distance. Ghost ball isn't perfect because of CIT but...

Are we trending towards 15ball rotation?

The problem with Rotation is that since the majority of pool players are pot smokers, alcoholics or ex-convicts, they find it very difficult to score. Half the time one spends playing 8-ball is spent reminding your opponent what ball grouping he has. If they can't even remember that, doing...

I may have a solution to the racking problems!

I agree that as you racked and tried this out you might have thought it was a good idea but as you think about it now, you are realising that it's a bad idea and is full of flaws.

Etiquette - A List for Beginners

I agree that your list isn't going to achieve anything. Even if your list was made into a poster and was pasted around every pool table up and down the country, it's still not going to achieve anything because if people want to be disagreeable, they will be disagreeable. Yes, your idea had...

What are your eyes and brain seeing at

Eyes are looking at the part of the object ball that is directly down the path of the cueball.
