    What happened to Predator?

I mean the higher-end cues... with points, specifically. Yes, the Predators with linen wraps had the best wraps I had ever felt.

    What happened to Predator?

Just a short while back, Predator used to make cues with linen wraps. Today, except for their sneaky petes, they don't offer any of their better / higher-end cues with linen wraps. FWIW, I thought they made among the best linen wraps I'd ever felt. Slick, smooth, and cool to to the touch.

Is it okay to mix measles ball with Centennials?

Is it okay to use a measles ball with Centennials? Will it affect how they interact with each other? Yes, I'm aware that Centennials are made by Saluc/Aramith. Also, I have the new Aramith Tournament Pro balls, and they don't come with a measles cue ball. I'd like to use the measles cue ball...

    Schrager Cue

I have a custom Schrager cue from 1991, made by Bert himself. Cue is purpleheart with solid ebony points. The cue has my name in a plate in the butt and the date in the butt (all in ivory). Is this is a saleable cue (because it has my name and date in it)? I was told that a new owner could...

General Rules About Corner & Side Pockets

When planning a run-out in 9-Ball, and a ball (or balls) are near the center of the table, is there any hard and fast rule (or general rule) about when one should choose to pocket a ball in the side or corner pocket? Of course there are many factors that would determine whether to go in the...

    CJ Wiley Aiming

A long time ago, I remember hearing that CJ Wiley used an aiming method that was unique to CJ -- almost like a "reverse fractional aiming." Does anyone know what this is?

Teaching my 10 y.o. son contact points

I'm teaching my son to play pool. His stance, grip, stroke, and bridge(s) are improving rapidly. Ghost ball aiming, however, is not working well for him. I'm now teaching him parallel line aiming, also known as contact point to contact point aiming. It's how I learned and it is a...

Is there any way to determine cut angle in degrees?

Is there a reliable way to determine the actual cut angle of a shot, say within five degrees? Years ago, I vaguely recall a system where one would draw a line from the pocket though the object ball and extend it into the rail. Then do the same for the cue ball...from the pocket to the rail...
