No offense taken! Thanks for your suggestion. I was hoping to get enough info here for a quick and easy fix. But if it necessary to take anything apart then I would get a professional in.

Thanks, Josh. Taking two plastic shims from either side of the end that measured high seems to have helped. Just asked dave_k if loosening the rail bolts on the low end in order to get the shims on top of the existing shims there might do the trick. I was able to free them by hand from the one...

Thanks! The one end was slightly high and I was able to remove 2 plastic shims from either side of that end. Now, the other end is low, and looks to be about to the same degree as the other end was high. So I'm thinking that if I can get the two shims from the formerly high end on top of the two...

Sorry about that. It's the balls that won't stay still when you rack them. As soon as you try to remove the triangle one or more of the balls move.

Thanks, Jim. Any idea what would cause such problems? It's rare even to be able to rack the balls without having one or more of them move.

    Olhausen Augusta concern

Thanks for that! It's not something I would try myself, though. And if you I use a non-Olhausen mechanic I void the warranty. I will call the store that did the work, but wondered if you might know what the problem is.

    Olhausen Augusta concern

Thanks for answering! I'm in Ontario, Canada, across the lake from Rochester, NY. I think the last mechanics knew their stuff.Just wonder if they might have missed the cleat not being flush with the frame. The house is 60 years old so probably not foundation shifting and the table is on carpet...

    Olhausen Augusta concern

I have had a 4 1/2x9 Augusta for about six years. The table does not stay level and on two occasions the slate has separated. The last mechanics to work on it said that the table had been improperly installed. It has been over a year and the slate has not separated although the table was out of...
