I do parallel as well. I played with 12.9 Revo for years and now the 11.8. I can't play with the 12.4 because of the increase in deflection (as Filler experienced, and why they built him a special one)

Knowing someone who plays good with a high deflection shaft doesn't prove anything in particular. More importantly is it easier to learn pool on high deflection or low deflection? If you start 100 beginners on high deflection and 100 on low, how many will reach 700?

What's sad is people thinking all carbon fiber shafts are low deflection and not understanding what's going on. There is no shaft I've tried as low as the z3 or 11.8 revo. What do you call that amount?
