As you are well aware, it's been unusually hot/humid this month in the NOVA area. Revolutions isn't normally that bad. Revolutions in good, but First Break in Sterling and Breakers in Herndon are both much better, IMHO. :)

I graduated from McDermott to Joss around 1992 (J15 and J11), then bought a Schon and never went back. Dabbled with some custom cues since, but that old Schon STL17 still makes an appearance. :) The old McDermott C and D lines were solid cues. I miss my D23 every time I see old pictures of...

If it's lasted this long, it's likely a good one. Back in the '80s there were two types of players, Meucci guys and McDermott guys. I was the later. I personally saw two Meucci cue forearms shatter, one on a nine ball break, the other on a really hard stroke shot. That said, I saw hundreds...

Everyone seems to keep referring to letting the cue slide forward (throwing the cue) as a "slip stroke"...I've always considered a slip stroke to be holding the cue slightly forward of dead hang, then slipping the grip hand back a couple of inches on the back swing, forcing your cue to follow...

And let's not forget Efren...just his index finger and thumb.

My got installed in my new house, they slid the slate (wrapped in furniture pads, down the steps, also covered in furniture pads). They were also using cargo straps slung under the slate. I couldn't stand to watch it, but it worked out really well...

I have a custom JB Mason 3x6 case. I ordered it about 8 years ago...last year, the bottom started to have issues and was collapsing. I sent it in, and he told me that he had changed the interior build design/process and rebuilt mine at no cost to me. It's a brand new case--better than before...

It took me two days (8 hours total) to be totally adjusted. It wasn't that strange to me at the start, to be honest. It's weirder going back to a maple shaft for a bit after shooting with a Cynergy for 7 years. :)

It was a custom (I believe only 2 or 3 were made for the movie and Cruise and Newman each got one), that were later released as an J18 and then renamed N7...with variations (solid diamond inlays, notched diamonds, some with diamond inlays in the points, some without, big butt cap, short butt...

Pretty sure that's a Schon R12...apparently with a custom ivory joint sleeve. Very nice!
