    Gecko safety switch??

Yes, we are having to wire it all up from scratch, down to being able to plug it in the wall. Pretty sure I can get a simple plug in on it, but I have no clue what to do with it all, sorta like my dad, what goes between the power supply and the driver is like greek to me. Thanks, Hightower84

    Where are the better-than-leather tips?

Wow, that picture came out huge and blurry! Anyway, it's just a jet black tip, not much to see. Thanks, Hightower84

    Ivory Ferrule Substitute

Motives Well, I have been around this stuff since I was a baby, but all the cues I had built until fairly recently were to my dad's specs. I have recently started stepping out a bit with my cue building, altering the construction, utilizing new tapers, so on and so forth. No, I did not come on...

    Where are the better-than-leather tips?

The tip is not layered. Not sure if I could, but I might try it.

    Ivory Ferrule Substitute

Look, I come on here looking for information, not a fight. I wasn't impolite to anyone. Sorry I started this stupid thread. Hightower84

    Ivory Ferrule Substitute

Look, I understand that everyone doesn't share my viewpoint. My dad thinks I'm crazy. I don't like death at all, but I can't get away from it altogether (unless hangemhigh has some enlightenment on that he'd like to share). The system of this world sucks. Thanks, Hightower84

    Ivory Ferrule Substitute

Aegis is a linen based material. So is Ivorine and Melamine. I would have to say it is the best I've found, but I thought there might be something closer. Appreciate the humor, Hightower84

    Ivory Ferrule Substitute

vegetarians So, hangemhigh, what you are telling me is that you have no interest in aiding in the advancement of cue building and repair, and that your only interest is in derailing me? Perhaps you could share some of your enlightenment and tell me, what helps you sleep at night? Or what is it...

    Where are the better-than-leather tips?

Ninja Tips Sorry I took so long, had a hard time finding this thread again. The Ninja tip is synthetic (which you already know), it is jet black so it makes for a very fine looking tip. As to exactly what the material is made out of I can't divulge this information, but the proof is really in...

    Ivory Ferrule Substitute

I'm assuming, since you know the people that work at the factory well enough to know that they are not vegetarians, that you also know what the substitute is. Fill me in. Thanks, Hightower84

    Ivory Ferrule Substitute

Getting back on track, I am currently using an Aegis ferrule with a Ninja tip. I like the way it plays, but I was wondering if anyone had found a good Ivory substitute. Elforyn has a sorta soft hit like Ivorine 3 and Juma hits almost like natural wood. Thanks, Hightower84

Wow, smells like sex wax. Sex sells, maybe I could use this as a marketing strategy...

    Ivory Ferrule Substitute

Well, I guess I was just trying to pose a question from a view point everyone else could share. Truth is, I'm a vegetarian because I don't believe in killing animals, and I was wondering what you could generate that same hit (or close) with. Thanks, Hightower84

    Ivory Ferrule Substitute

Ivory has long been considered the premier ferrule material, but can you justify putting it in a cheaper cue? If you want to maintain the consistent playability of ivory what ferrule material do you all think would be the best substitute? Thanks, Hightower84

    Ivory inlay question

I dont see any spears There are two elongated diamonds there. Spears curve like a pointed ellipse. With the dot in the middle, I call two spears (or two elongated diamonds) pointed away from each other a propeller, and two pointed towards each other a fan blade. Thanks, Hightower84

    Introduction

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome! Hope that the slight amount of father/son woofing doesn't offend anyone. It takes many gears to run a clock and keep it running. Less like twin towers, and more like one solid clock tower.

    Where are the better-than-leather tips?

I make the Ninja tip, and I shoot with them exclusively. They hold their crown better, and mushroom very minimally. I played and broke with the same cue for six months and I never had to shape the crown. The consistency and accuracy far exceeds any leather tip I have ever played with.

    Introduction

I actually just said that because I knew it would get under your skin there, dad! Unlike my cue wielding abilities, my cue building abilities are just a little bit better than yours, not actually twice as good!
