Just because you're cutting from the side, the height absolutely can change the way it cuts. I prefer mine slightly below center. Also ensure shaft is held between centers with the correct pressure. You don't want it too tight. I can pinch my shaft to stop it from turning. Sent from my Pixel 8...

It's all about speeds and feeds. Try reducing RPM of router, height of cutter, feed rate, spindle RPM. No wood is identical and you will have to vary parameters to eliminate the harmonic vibrations. Every cuemaker has experienced this at one time or another. Sent from my Pixel 8 Pro using Tapatalk

Do a metric to inches conversion and find a bit that's a little bigger. You will have to compensate for clearance anyway. Ie. A 3 mm dot doesn't require a 3mm hole. 3mm = 0.118" A 0.0200" router bit would work just fine providing 2 thou clearance for glue. Sent from my Pixel 8 Pro using...

The mezz NX ferrule has a thread pitch of 1.25mm. My method for removing the old ferrule is to spin the shaft in reverse and use a leather strap on the ferrule to build up friction/heat. Once the old glue melts it will spin right off. Often times with this method, the remaining threads are...
