    Are pool players team players?

This vid has been on my YT home page for a few days but I have not had time to watch. Is it worth the time?

    Fischer table

I know nothing about the brand other than people here think they are trash. The shelf looks pretty deep in this pic though. I'm just browsing. Currently own a 9' ProAm...

How Often Can You Run This?

I play better out of the gate than after a few racks. I focus more and the balls just go in. I then begin taking shots for granted, not staying down, or playing riskier shots for the aesthetics. I have been meaning to mount a camera in my room. I'll get to it one day.

Tournament fees are out of control

Weekly tourneys around here are still $20 plus an auction. Starting to have a couple higher ones per month ($30-$50). A local guy is opening a new room in a couple months who added a lot of money to all of his tourneys when he had his last room. We're all looking forward to that one.

    Q Slick alternative

I used to use Shark Oil. Worked great.

How Often Can You Run This?

No access to pro spec but I can run that as pictured probably 80% on my ProAm with standard pockets. (provided I'm hitting balls a couple times per week) If you put the balls against the rails where they belong it's more like 60% I imagine. Those shots are all in the 60 minute workout and the...

    Seybert’s shipping prices

Doesn't have to be. If I ship one of my racks out west it's $30+. If I use Pirateship it's $8. Retailers charging high shipping like this are taking that extra $ and lying about the actual price. It's like the guys who used to sell items on ebay for $2 and charged $30 shipping on all orders.

People who use chalk holders...what do you do when

We recently began making chalk holders as well but the shape is different due to an additional feature. Ours have a hole in the middle to press out the chalk and come with spacers to raise the chalk as it wears. I have purchased holders in the past that came with two sizes for different height...

Illuminated Cueing arts vs Projection Pro Billiards systems (ICATS vs PPB)

I had a $10 mini spotlight mounted to the ceiling in my room in AZ. I used clear rings for ball positions and the spotlight for the landing area. Setting up the positions for Bert's shots took less than an hour and I was all set. Moving from drill to drill after that took only seconds to place...

    Solid vs layered tips

I loved the sniper tips on my cynergy shafts until I replaced the super soft ferrules with tomahawk. The harder ferrule material called for a softer tip and the duds I use are a bit softer.

    Fedor health update, successful surgery.

Had no idea I had this until I went in for a scope. It would not fit up one side of my nose. It doesn't affect me much at all so I have not addressed the issue. Best of luck to him and anyone who needs to undergo the fix. It can be rough.

    Solid vs layered tips

I have had this dud on my player for at least six months. I probably play 3-6 hours per week. It has not glazed or mushroomed in that time. Once or twice a year I will lightly scuff the tip to help it hold chalk whether it needs it or not. Keep in mind that the duds are not as tall as new...

    Solid vs layered tips

I play duds and they never mushroom or glaze. I can't remember the last time I even shaped one. I can do everything with the dud that I was able to do with layered tips. Justify your purchase any way you wish but layered tips do not outperform pressed single-layer tips, they just cost more.

A challenge to forum members: Shoot through the curtain

Same point I made about Styer. He puts in the time so would be where he is even if he had not joined the cult.

A challenge to forum members: Shoot through the curtain

The aiming sub saved this forum. That and getting the "Locktards" off the main.

Cu that hits like a Schuler for $225

I've never hit with one but back in the day everyone was raving about Schuler shafts. I remember they had a different joint or collar on them but that's it.

    Pool Stuff For Christmas

You win best Xmas gift for a room and a table to put in it. I may be trading my 9' pro-am for a blue label bar box next year. Wish I had room for both.
