What are the differences between carom cues and pool cues?

Carom Cues Carom billiard cues have specialized refinements making them different from the typical pool cue with which many people are more familiar. Such cues tend to be shorter and lighter overall, with a shorter ferrule, a thicker butt and joint, a wooden joint pin (in high-end examples)...

    Layani carom cue

I have to add to all great comments about Layani cues, It has great feel - feedback after every hits and the cue has such a nice ballance. I am currently practicing the rail nurse technique and have been looking for a carom cue that is light enough and still has the back bone of a 3cushion cue...

    any one?

Thank you Dean, have you shot with Layani cues before? Found Layani cue for Libre discipline at www.caromcue.com , but they advertised min. cue wt. = 470gr. I heard for straight rail techniques, the cue should be around 470-480gr. is that right? Thanks for any advise

    any one?

I love to play Libre (free game) carom, so far, only find carom tables at Asian pool rooms. Anyone know where I can find a good cue for Libre discipline ? Practicing the rail nurse but the 3cushion cue I have is too heavy for these techniques. -http://www.jimloy.com/billiard/rail.htm...

    New to 3C

I am completely agree with Fox523, I started out playing Libre (free game) aka. straight rail billiard and now addicted to 3Cushion. My average on the straight rail is about 20-25 points. If you decided to start out with straight rail, remember the cue is much lighter than the three cushion cue.

    Carom 61.5mm Balls cleaning machine

My friend has about nine carom tables at his poolroom and during busy hours, its imposible to clean it by hands. My other friend has an older BallStar model and it clean the balls much better. We checked the pads, the nozzle and chemical on the newer model but its still not as clean.

    New to 3C

I would start out with a wood pin joint, 12mm tip and the cue min. wt. should be around 510gr. Cue butt is about 28.25" and shaft is about 69cm. Longoni is a great place to start because they have entry level cues for great price with same quality less expensive design and inlays. Check out...
