Why do people in the pool hall come up to you and want to play you but want weight?

That's exactly what I do. I ask the last five when I am asked to gamble. What's the worst thing they say, no? :)

Why do people in the pool hall come up to you and want to play you but want weight?

I agree. If you are asking to gamble, you shouldn't ask for weight. At the same time, if you are asking to gamble and the person is asking the last 5 balls on a 9 ball game, you shouldn't be mad or ridicule the guy because he didn't ask you to gamble. He just wanted to hangout with his friends...

What do you think about this pocket?

I think I am going to -try to- do this on my own like Mike. I will buy extended rails and custom cut shims. If I have the correct angle, the ball hits the facing will go in the pocket instead of staying at the shelf. My question is, if I buy diamond extended rails ( I am not even sure where to...

How does AZB 'cue' a cue ball?

The most I use is maybe a half tip side spin unless the ball is at the pocket and I need to spin the crap out of the cue ball to get far. However I am a guy who can consistently run about 5-6 balls in a 9 ball game on a 9 ft table. Maybe a ball or two more on a smaller table. So I am just a...

What do you think about this pocket?

How much is to fix this Glen? Is it worth to get it fixed or I should just get a new table?

What do you think about this pocket?

There are pocket facings. I can feel them. Very thin but there are. So probably custom made shims can make the pockets tighter but easier I am thinking.. I already posted the pictures on the "talk to a mechanic" section. If someone gives me a fair price, I will get it done. If not, I will...

What do you think about this pocket?

Okay, Have you every seen a shelf as deep as 2 1/2 inches where the facing is? That is more than a ball. If not, check this out. If I can run out consistently on this table, I can play anyone in the world LOL

What do you think about this pocket?

Thank you. I will post them and see what they say. Especially when the balls are close to the rail, making the balls is almost impossible. If I hit them with speed, then the ball exactly hits where I aim which is the inside of the facing and hits the other facing and goes away from the pocket...

What do you think about this pocket?

It is not Photoshop. I don't have time to deceive people or anything stupid like that. I believe it is a century table by Brunswick. I got it cheap on Craigslist but I am paying for it with frustration. I just wanted an opinion. That's all. It is a 9 ft table with ball return. I think the guy...

What do you think about this pocket?

Can this pocket be a pocket that pros play and consistently run out? I am having a very hard time with this table. Why is that?

    Kamui Chalk Experience

Ok I will be as neutral as possible. I have 3-4 almost identical cues and they all have different hardness of tips and all of them are kamui. I prefer hard tip to play which is their break tip. I try not to move the cue ball all that much and I believe hard tip is "honest" and "accurate" tip...

A long comment on "aiming systems" ...

Can I see the video? Did you try a thick cut stun shot where the OB is 4-5 ft away from the pocket?

A long comment on "aiming systems" ...

Bro, Just try it. Don't worry about what the man does in the video. Try it with your stroke. Noone's saying this would be the only way one should make the OB. It will work.

A long comment on "aiming systems" ...

BTW Collision induced throw still plays a role here. I make the OB but it doesn't go to the center of the pocket unless the OB is relatively close to the pocket. It still goes though. I don't know how it would work on a 4" or tighter pockets.

A long comment on "aiming systems" ...

I am open minded and I tried I will have to say this. I own the Pro 1 dvd. I watched it and I really didn't get it. Even though I lived in the US for 12 years English is not my mother tongue. It was way too complicated for my little language skills. I use the OB and CB contact point system...

A long comment on "aiming systems" ...

My focus on the game is to make the ball. If I make the ball, then I am still on the table. If I KNOW the shot, then I will put anything I want on the cue ball. If I dont know the shot, then I will hit with a center ball and try to use the speed to get where I want or at least to see the next...
