Thanks for the info. The carom shaft was made by Kilby, the other shaft is original and tapered for pool.

Looking for info on these 2 vintage cues

Can anyone shed some light on these two vintage cues? Any thoughts or info appreciated. Helmstetter cue with original and Kilby shaft. What is Ap/6? Is '1 of 1' actually a 1 of 1 cue? Age? Value? Brunswick cue with original shaft. Unusual cue as the forearm is square and lots of inlay. Is this...

A couple of old cards I came across. I'm familiar with Hal Mix but have no info about the 'BEHIND THE EIGHT BALL CLUB'. Any of you old timers recognize this club?

    Royal Pro Cloth

I play on a Cheviotte Table with RP cloth (heater not working), It plays nice, long. Please check out Ron Kilby site for information on installing and stretching rail cloth (horizontally). Cloth was about $220 shipped. As for the rumbling balls: We also had this problem and discovered it was...

Cue makers who do wood pin joints/Hoppe conversion

I'm curious to know which cue makers do wood pin joints commonly used in 3-cushion cues? Also, I have a couple of Hoppe Titleist cues and was wondering if someone knows of anyone who has done a conversion with a wood pin?

Can anyone identify this (carom?) cue?

I measured the diameter and pitch, you are correct 9/16-24. This will likely end up on eBay, would make a nice conversion, I think.

Can anyone identify this (carom?) cue?

Chopdoc, that makes sense as it seems like I have seen the same type of numbered stamp on other old Brunswick branded cues. Thanks for your input!

Can anyone identify this (carom?) cue?

I'm not sure when break cues came into fashion. I'm guessing this cue is maybe 1960s-70s.

Can anyone identify this (carom?) cue?

Can anyone identify this cue? I'm thinking it is a carom cue. Short 56", light 16 oz. It has matching numbers stamped on the butt and shaft (#458). The butt is painted black, not sure if that is original or applied later. The joint is brass. Note Palmer/Viking like plastic for the butt cap. It...

    ferruel keeps breaking

JoeyInCali, Thank you for your reply. Would it be better to eliminate the threads and make the ferrule wall thicker? Do you have any thoughts on a metal ferrule?

    ferruel keeps breaking

This is a Predator Z2 shaft. I believe the original tip diameter was 11.75mm (.4625 in.). I bought this used and the tip is currently about 10.72mm (.422 in.). The ferrule length is short about 3/8". I use this as a carom (3-cushion) cue. I realize this is a small diameter to use for the large...
