+1 for Mark's work. He's been to my house twice over the past few years - once to replace the cloth on my old table and recently to install a GC - and his work is top, top, top notch. Keep up the great work, Mark.

You have to admit, though, that his mechanics are at least better than Barton's.

Something that has worked for me is, when practicing, rack the 1 ball as the 9 ball and the 9 ball in the 1 ball position at the head of the rack. Play the rack that way so that you're hitting the 9 ball first. This gets you used to sinking the money ball often.

At Hard Times, is the equipment on the left side of the room different to that on the right? I was there last week and played on a few 9ft tables on the left and was not impressed by the equipment at all. The balls had chips in them, the racks were cheapo plastic, each table had several roll-off...
