    Bison cue tips?

I was browsing an online shop in Poland and came across these tips... http://www.bilardshop.pl/,prod,tip_bison_classic_13mm,,1356.html I've done a search and can't find anything on them. Does anyone know these?

    Great shot by Earl

ahh the 80's! When snooker ruled on tv as well. I'm fairly new to American pool and love watching old skool clips. Love the atmosphere and characters (and of course the random designs of tables/cloth).

    Wenge or Rosewood?

Thanks TATE for the humorous heads up :D I blatantly pronounce it as 'oraNGE'. I've decided to go for the MEZZ EC7 - J Iron Wood pure based on looks. The darker the better! The problem has been that it's very difficult to find a decent quality picture of the Mezz cues. I have to say that the...

    Wenge or Rosewood?

There is a third option Ironwood. It's basically from the Mezz range and nowhere else. I cannot find an opinion on this wood anywhere on the web!?!

    Wenge or Rosewood?

WOW! Beautiful cue  The problem is, I can't find any close up pictures of the Mezz EC7 cues? I clearly prefer the dark exotic woods, such as cocobolo, wenge, ironwood and rose wood. Oh and BTW BHQ, I love the white butt cap and joint contrast on that cue :)

    Wenge or Rosewood?

Thanks BBB I did wonder about wenge as a viable material. My generic search on google came up with many pics and info on high quality walking canes and not much on cues? :) Rosewood is by far, more common wood in cues.

    Wenge or Rosewood?

Thank you for your wonderful insight Tom :) It seems I haven't had nowhere near enough experience with various cues! My current cue has the butt in cocobolo merging into a maple forearm. I guess this 'merging' would also lend to a different, maybe lighter/crisper hit? It appears that Mezz EC7...

    Wenge or Rosewood?

Hi guys I'm about to buy a Mezz EC7 cue and need to make a choice between wenge or rosewood? I understand that wenge is harvested from The Congo, Africa and rosewood from a variety of places, but I guess my question is... Do they play any different? My current cue is a Schmelke cocobolo...

    5/16 x 18 (brass) vs 3/8 x 10 pin (steel)

Firstly, I definitely won't be breaking with this cue. I appreciate what you said Black-Balled, that a bare wood/ wood cue is far more likely to split over time, but by 'that time' I will have bought a gorgeous custom made, multi-wooden exotic cue... maybe :) The reason I bought a Sneaky Pete...

    5/16 x 18 (brass) vs 3/8 x 10 pin (steel)

Thank you Drew for the straight forward and prompt response. And for clarifying that the phenolic collar strictly cosmetic. I thought it was for some kind of protection between the wood joints. As for feel, I guess it's gonna take a a year or two before I can tell :) I have gone ahead and...

    5/16 x 18 (brass) vs 3/8 x 10 pin (steel)

Firstly I would like to say 'Hi' to the regulars :) The title pretty much says it really. I want to buy a Sneaky Pete. I have settled on a Schmelke. There are two main joints they use : 5/16 x 18 (brass) no collar 3/8 x 10 pin (steel) phenolic collar As you can see, one has a phenolic...
