    Now this may be so, but for a layered tip it doesn't matter at all. Even if it's slightly pre-crowned. And you were talking about layered tips. The end result is 100% equal if you install it slightly off-center or perfectly centered.

    Very interesting technique, in fact, quite ingenious! Thanks for the information! That's another one of your cues I really like. If I was a rich man, I'd own at least 10 by now :p But maybe it's better like this: They all deserve to be someone's main player :smile:

    Why do I feel like I get more CB action with a whippy shaft?

    I think a whippy shaft bends during an off-center hit, thus hitting the cue ball (slightly) even more off-center, resulting in slightly more spin on the cue ball.

    A friend of mine owns this Palmer Plain Jane I won from Doubledave. I think it looks pretty sweet, we call it the Green Fairy :D

    So it has 52 nice inlays, but how many does it have altogether? :D :duck: Just kidding! It's really a very nice cue! Not as flashy as some of the others, but that's a good thing! I think this one and your TAD are my favorites so far! :thumbup:

    Now you've made me curious. What brand was that solid graphite cue? I've never seen one. btw: That "Halex Titanium Cue" someone mentioned before is made of a hollow tan plastic/fiber rod that has been sprayed grey (the whole thing). I know this for sure because I bought one at Walmart and...
