    Griff's 2026 US Open events

    Interesting to see Morra's last three matches were against a 508, a 471, and a 524 Fargo.

    AE cues?

I've never owned one but I always thought that pretty much everything I saw come out of their shop looked great. I think they had excellent taste in designs and wood combos.

Old viking cue, anyone have any imfo?

Would help to see the rest of the cue but pretty sure it's a B400 from 1981. Retailed for $400

SJM at the Las Vegas Open

Right, that's my point. Without that and just trying to get by on tournament cashes she'd have been back home a long time ago.

SJM at the Las Vegas Open

Probably true, but you can't blame them when you consider they're traveling all over the country chasing her dream, and even if she places high, it would be rare that expenses were covered.

Looking for a cue that plays like an old Falcon

This, or a Joss, or a steel jointed Jacoby.

    Keith Josey Merry Widow

That's a more than fair price IMO. Excellent players and a very nice cue maker if you ever have questions too. They tend to be a little chunkier in the handle area, just as an FYI.

    Meucci ID

Thanks guys. Kind of what I figured on it. What puzzles me though is the guy says he got it new with that shaft, but who knows. It is super clean for an "originals." I know what you mean on the whippy shafts. I used to sell Meuccis and played many of those shafts. Quite a few pros used them in...

    Old cue for ID help

I think I may have found the maker. I see Boetzel cues with that red bumper and carving in the handle. I knew it was at least dating back to the 60s but seems like it could be even older.

    Old cue for ID help

I see the Sampaio stuff is made in Portugal. He was able to look it over last night and said that name wasn't carved in it, but it did say made in West Germany. Does that still track with it being a Sampaio?

    Old cue for ID help

Oh interesting. I'm not familiar with them at all but I'll pass that along and have him take a look for the engraving.

    Old cue for ID help

A friend showed me this pic the other night. His friend has it and got it from his dad after he passed on. I can probably get more pics later if needed but this is all I have for now. Thought it looked interesting. He thought it was from the 60s.

Funny Things Said to You at the Pool Room

I think I might've posted this before in another thread, but many years ago this new guy came into our room looking for a game. We ended up playing some small stakes 9 ball, and I busted him in maybe a little over an hour. He might've won 3 games tops. When he was unscrewing he said "It was...

What's your favorite pool memory from 2025?

I've enjoyed watching the advent of Ultimate Pool. Seems to be drawing crowds, attracting attention, bringing players back to the game. All good for pool!

    Meucci ID

I've looked all through the online archives and can't find this particular model that I recently picked up. Has the Meucci Originals logo but a matching black dot shaft, so I know it's not real old. Just wondering if anyone can ID.
