This is the way to go for sure at your price point.

I special ordered my break cue from Shmelke a couple of years ago. 30" butt (maple) and 30" purpleheart break shaft. 3/8x10 joint. The people I dealt with were great. The cue is nicely balanced and well made and a great value for what I spent.
