    Can someone suggest a game?

I just got my first table and I play mostly at night after my kids go to bed. Is there a good game that is meant to be played alone? I have just been playing 8 ball and playing both sides myself. Thanks in advance.

Has anyone used or heard about this moving company?

http://www.philadelphiapooltablemovers.com/pool-table-moves Their rates seem very reasonable and they give a nice discount when recovering during the move.

Which Gold Crown is this table?

I tried to look at that before I posted the pic, but each time I clicked on it, an error came up on my computer. The person selling it said it was a 3 but I just wanted to verify. When I began looking for a table, I wasn't considering something of this calibre but I figure if I am going to get...

Thanks for the input. It seems like people really like their Olhausen tables. That helps my decision.

    Fisher

THe one I found is a newer one. It seems like the newer ones may be made in China, which makes me suspect that it is of lesser quality. The problem is that the cl bailey website doesn't provide much detail about the table construction.

I found a Fischer Duke on Craig's list. It's one inch slate, not sure if it is backed or not. Is this a well built table? Are Fischer tables generally as good as Olhausen tables?

    Info about a table?

Help me out because I am a novice. Why does the thickness of the slate matter if it is professionally installed and leveled correctly? Maybe I just need a lesson on what makes one table better than another.

    Info about a table?

Thanks! I was hoping to stay close to $1000 including the moving/installation costs. I am going to see the table below later this week. I think it will be a better fit. http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/spo/3259693281.html

    Info about a table?

Does anyone have any experience with a Brunswick Bristol II? I made a thread about it, lots of views but no replies. I am not looking for a showpiece, just a decent table that once it is professionally installed and re-clothed, will be a good table for family and friends.

    Brunswick Bristol II

I am going to look at a used one tonight. The ad does not say slate but I am assuming it is slate. Anyone have any experience with this model? I am a novice and looking for a nice table for myself and my family to play on.
