Name a player that evokes mythical status

Jack Hynes Jack Hynes, this man is a legend made flesh; mythical to the point that most of what's know about him is a myth.

    Layered Tips Review (Results)

Well, I'm glad to know that we were not the only ones having problems with the Sniper tips (we ended up worried about having bought a defective lot). As for the Everest tips, it seems clear, based on the different oppinions exposed here, that they need to be included in the second part of our...

    Layered Tips Review

Dear Tom, You are an incredibly generous gentleman and I really appreciate your kind offer, but we cannot accept it. Your gesture sending us your tips for the test was a class act that we are grateful for, but it won’t be fair for you to take any extra cost and providing us with other brands’...

    Layered Tips Review (Results)

Thank you all for your comments. Please let me try to answer all them: "dougster26": In our test both the Kamui and the UltraSkin tips did slightly better than the Moori tips. The Moori Medium that we obtained the best results with were from 2006 and (at least this batch) was a little darker...

    Layered Tips Review (Results)

Unfortunately, due to time and budget limitations, we had to choose just a few representative layered tips to review and many interesting ones like Tiger Everest, Wizard or Talisman were not tested this time (although we'll like to do it in the near future). Thank you for your comment. Best...

    Layered Tips Review (Results)

First of all, thank you all ladies and gentlemen for the patience. It took us a little more than expected to get all the results ready. That said, I have to state again that we were trying to get the “feel” and personal impression on each tip and that our rates are very subjective. If our...

    Want Made

I agree with that, if you want a solid player Sneaky Pete at a reasonable price, Leon Sly is a great option. I've just received one with a wood to wood joint that plays like any other Sneaky that I've had and looks really neat.

Help me make my Team Captain's B-day/Christmas brighter?

I understand what you say, although I also get why some people considers that you should just talk to your friends and get together some money to buy a decent cue for your team captain and stop asking here. Well, I have a brand new "no brand" cue that I won at a small "Christmas Tournament"...

    What's The Point Of It? Seriously . . . Brutal Honesty Required . . .

For me, after 20 years, it's the search for perfection. I know that my game is far from perfect, but I keep learning, evolving and facing challenges so it never gets boring. Also, when played properly, it's an elegant game and I appreciate that.

    Help....Girl needs a cue.

I believe that all you gentlemen who were eager so help someone less fortunate did a good thing, in spite of the outcome; although I have to admit that helping someone who calls himself "mrinsatiable" to get close to a little girl by offering her gifts didn't seemed like a good idea to me. That...

    Playing better while medicated

Nootropics Nootropics such as Aniracetam or Sulbutiamine may help your mind work better but, as others have stated, recreational drugs won't make you play better unless you are an addict and need them to calm your urges.

    ................................

We have purchased three new Brunswick Tru-Balance cues for our club and I'm really happy with them. They are not cheap and it's true that they are now being made in China, but the quality is very good and they hit solid. I'm not sure if they would be able to compete with the one piece Hueblers...

Have You Ever Snapped A Cue ?

Not on purpose, but I shattered an Adam's shaft some years ago while breaking with it. It was a very strange thing because it felt solid the stroke before and the next second it was completely destroyed. As for snapping my own cue, I've wanted to a couple of times, but I cannot afford it.

    Let's help Jack Hynes

David, those are really great news; I’m glad that he is doing much better than all the last posts that I could find about him were stating. He’s lucky to have friends like you. I’ve just sent you a private message. To “The Saw” and “(((Satori)))”: I think that you are right and the post by Mr...

    Let's help Jack Hynes

Well, let me begin answering “Bowmer” and “John Brumback” that no, I’m not Jack Hynes. I haven’t even met him. Also, just for the record, I’m not going to collect money from anybody. “Bowmer”, I believe that a gentleman has no right to call another man a scoundrel if he has never met him and...

Hello gentleman, Thank you all for your replies. Please let me try to answer you all one by one: “Black-Balled”: I think that tigers must be saved (they are an endangered species and the only reason why I haven’t asked you all to help me save the tigers and chose a pool player is because this...
