Gold Crown I or II plastic skirting

Set of plastic skirts off my early GCII table. 9 foot table. Never painted. In original condition. Plastic is discolored due to age. One of the tabs that hold the corner together is broken/missing from one of the panels, but is not visible once installed and didn't seem to effect the...

Dissapointed with GCIII Recover, your thoughts please...

As a second generation mechanic, Jerimy has a shop with Jigs and tools set up. I don't know what his expertise level is compared to others here so I'm not going to speak for him, but I'm sure there are more than a handful of guys in this country that can set up a table correctly and a crap load...

Dissapointed with GCIII Recover, your thoughts please...

Those guys messed that table up. I would not have paid them and would want a HUGE refund. Jerimy will you do you right. He just did my GC1 in November. Replaced original monarch cushions with Black Diamond, cut and modified rails so they'd fit right, installed Simonis 860, and all...

Diamond Black bank better than Artemis ?

Had Black Diamonds installed on my GC1. They play great. I agree.

    Help ID this table, please!

Looks like it has the GCIII bronze trim on the rail edges and ball box, but chrome corners? Maybe the corners were swapped out? I'd guess it's a III. Definately not a II. You can have the cushions swapped out very affordably. Just put the Diamond blacks on my GC1 and love how they play...

Gold Crown casting dates match model year?

I don't know. I think the lines of the table flow better without the skirting, but I also think it looks more complete with the skirts. For now, the skirts are sitting on a shelf in my garage. I would probably sell them if somebody wanted a set.

Both. The rail counters, emblem, bridge and triangle racks, and ball box trim were all blasted and powder coated with a two stage "aluminum" color and "clear" powder coat. They look like polished aluminum in person. I then painted the inlay portions of the counters and emblem with a...

With the amount of light it gives, it's hard to get a decent picture. Everything glares in the camera. Here you go.

Pockets were downsized a bit from factory to 4.75". If it couldn't be polished, it was powder coated. Counters were cleaned, new springs installed, powder coated, and numbers repainted.

She's Done! First of all-Anyone looking for a Mechanic in the Chicagoland/NW Indiana area, I highly recommend Jerimy Chambers in Minooka IL. He's professional, considerate, diligent, and doesn't short cut on anything. He's also a second generation mechanic, which I respect. He...

My table is higher by 5.5" - How I did it

I think that's the first lifted table I've ever seen. Well designed and very functional. I hope it allows you to enjoy your game more. I'm not color blind and that stain looks like a good match...at least in the photos.

Well....It's coming along. :grin-square: Rail counters have been disassembled and rebuilt. I may have reinstalled the numbers backwards though. Until I get the rails back, I won't know for sure. Guess I've got a 50/50 chance. Legs are now Ermine White and Red Oak. Skirts are now painted...

Same here. Everything else on the table was touched, so I figured what the hell. Just took off the loose paint and smoothed the worn areas. Shot some sealer on the bare spots and hit it all with a thick coat of Rustoleum Brown rattle can. Original color on the sub-frame was about the same...

LOL Looking at those pictures, it looks like it's hovering. I wish I'd taken pictures as I was assembling it. I mounted it directly to the ceiling. No hanging here. Used 4 2x4's, in 2 pairs, mounted flat on top of each other as a 3" spacer. So the two lights are butted end to end and screwd...

Also cleaned, sanded, and repainted the sub-frame. Built my own light. The future drop ceiling will sit on the side trim, giving the illusion that it is built into the ceiling. Two - 2x4 fixtures with a total of 8 daylight 6500K bulbs. I'm pretty happy with it for a $220 total cost. I...

I maxed out with 250 and an orbital sander and hand sanded the rounded edges. The side skirts are like glass now. They actually look polished. Can't sand this out though. A ghosted hint of the table's origins. Also picked up the Dupont 2 stage BC/CC Urethane today along with the...
