Billiard room pics are #1, #4 and #24. Sorry, I had posted earlier but photos were deleted for some reason. I wasn't able to figure out how to easily repost previous pics. These are professional pics so they look even better...

A thread dedicated to my fellow partakers of great suds

Some great beers listed here - more towards my taste profile. There are so many new breweries starting up it's even hard to keep up with the local ones. It's a great problem to have!

Starting playing cue under 100 - need help

I have two Players cues and have to agree it is a great bang for the buck. Unfortunately they're not available from any of the sites you listed. I've heard good things about Fury cues so I'd probably go that route. I have a Cuetec that was given to me and I don't like it at all.

    Anyone ever have Vertigo?

This has also happened to me a few times. Scary as heck when it first happens. Doc diagnosed it as benign positional vertigo (crystals in the inner ear) and it went away eventually. At the time I wasn't shooting much pool but was taping sheetrock on the ceiling so my head was bent back a lot...

Need some help/advice on my table and cue

I agree with this. That pocket looks a lot like the pockets on my Olhausen - huge but with a deeper shelf. You may be experiencing something like the "Olhausen rattle".

    My "new" Anniversary is here

Man, I love those old Brunswicks! Thanks to this forum and posts like this it has now become one of my dreams to someday own one. I was perfectly happy with my Olhausen (and the "Olhausen rattle") but now that I am older and wiser I want one of these! Thanks guys. I just hope I can afford one...

What's your favorite size table to play on?

You would love my neighbor's 6 x 12 snooker table with super tight pockets. It takes forever to play one game. It's almost no fun to play on for a rookie like me.

Thanks again. The table is an 8' Olhausen Innsbruck in cherry with Simonis 860. I bought that particular table because it was the best suited to also be used as a dining table if ever necessary (it hasn't).

Thanks for all the compliments. The table was a present to myself for my hard work. Here's a few more of the room:

    Cats and pool tables?

That's hilarious! I might have to try it just for the entertainment value.

    Cats and pool tables?

That's one fine looking beast but now you've got a dog on the table!

    Cats and pool tables?

It might be hopeless Some cats just have that defiant nature like my brat cat. (My avatar) She leaves the pool table alone but loves the kitchen counters. I tried everything with no success. The spray bottle thing just became a game for her and I just ended up with a wet cat and kitchen. I...

My method cleaning the table felt..

Here's an interesting blurb on Simonis 860 (which I have). http://www.waynesthisandthat.com/billiards.htm#aging I've been using a lint roller frequently but it bothers me when I see how much of the cloth fibers get pulled up by the adhesive. (You can see this in the pictures.) Is this a bad...

    Magic Rack: Great, provided...

Yes, they are the same Avery hole reinforcers. Coincidentally just yesterday I used the hole reinforcers and the Magic Rack as a template to set up for 3 ball. It was a little fussy but works great now that I have it all aligned. I also used one at the back spot to help with alignment of the...

    pool room decor supplier?

Here's a cool "vintage look" billiards sign. It's actually made with old wood and looks authentic. This site has a good price on it too. http://www.wayfair.com/Vintage-Signs-Billiards-Green-Vintage-Sign-PP-910-RLQ1002.html Rich

    Shot / stroke problem

I also just started trying to get better at pool after many years of just banging balls around. It was interesting to see your post because It's exactly where I'm at too - trying to master a good stroke. Here's what has worked for me so far: I first got inspired watching Max Eberle's head cam...

    A good starter cue.

I agree with LHP5 - Players cues are a bargain. I bought a couple from their exotic series about a year ago and was very impressed with the quality. I got the E3100 and E3305 - both no wrap cues. My E3100 has a curly (aka tiger) maple handle and is just beautiful. Each was less than $100 at the...
