    Need info on Longoni

The hex handle one in the bottom is the "ambra" model. Used to be somewhat common around Spain a few years ago. Its cost new here was around 600-800€, I believe. Longoni cues are well regarded here, they sponsor Nils Feijen and used to sponsor (very long ago) Mika Immonen. They are OK...

LIVE STREAM INFO: US Open 8-Ball Championships, July 29-31

I agree, it does seem like a strange occurrence.

LIVE STREAM INFO: US Open 8-Ball Championships, July 29-31

As far as I know, there is a loop going on. I've been watching it the last few days from Spain.

    OB Rift Break Cue

Looks very interesting. Will the speed break and controlled break shafts be available separately? I really like the speed break since I have been looking for a "classic" version of the break shaft for a while. :) When will they be available from retailers (seyberts, etc.)?

    Emily duddy pro or no

I think she is hard working and takes her game seriously. That is what matters to me, regardless of her facebook marketing techniques, posed pictures or whatever. I won't even get started with rankings and pro considerations because is mostly meaningless, to be honest. More people playing pool...

    World 14.1 stream help

Happened to me too. This has to be the earliest stream ever. I am not complaining since it was mostly my wrong doing, and timing gets complicated since I'm in Spain with the time difference and all. They could repeat the stream for us in different parts of the world like TAR used to do, though...

    Billy Incardona - Short Rant

Incardona and Diliberto are my favorite commentators. They have tremendous knowledge and share a special chemistry. I am not sure if they are politically correct every time, but I don't really care. I have also seen some videos of DD classes on straight pool and he seems to be a really good...

Playing By Feel vs. By Calculation?

For me, the correct answer is both. Besides, feel is just subconscious calculation improved by experience. Practice is unavoidable even if you could calculate perfectly (with a computer for example), since execution precision greatly affects results.

Linen, leather, exotic or wrapless what do you prefer

Wrapless is my preference. More feedback, more wood to look at. I can play with linen or leather, but I really dislike the look of black with white specks linen.

    TAR 39 The Last Waltz

Thanks for all the time, effort and money you both put into TAR. I have had a lot of fun watching the matches and the podcasts through the years. I wish you the best of lucks in your future endeavors.

? for JB and JB butterfly case owners

In my case I usually stand the case on the floor and open the zipper a little bit, then take the cues out like with a normal hard case. They are harder to put in this way than with a normal case, though... But it is not a big issue. Standing it on the floor does make the bottom dirty quickly...

My New BK III came broken :(

Now I see. Yes, KJ is top notch. He has done work for me before ;)

My New BK III came broken :(

Is the BK3 available as a jump break or did you get it customized? I thought it was just a break cue.

    Ebony and other exotic woods

I guess you would have to check with someone qualified, i.e. customs for the countries involved, but I've never heard of any problems with ebony. The illegal materials for export/import are usually ivory and some kinds of rosewood (endangered). I bought an ebony cue from the USA and had no...

Is WPBL (Bonus Ball) officially dead?

I don't believe there has been any official statement since the hiatus.

Anybody switch from glasses to contacts for the game?

Much better with contacts than with glasses for me. Especially now that smoking inside is banned in Spain. I use dailies. If your prescription is high enough, you might have some trouble adjusting if you go back to playing with glasses since the size of things might change: I see slightly...

    Congratulations to Thorsten Hohmann

I've seen Oliver play a couple times here in Spain. He is amazingly powerful, intense and extremely focused. Quite a player. I won't comment on the good looks, though

    Congratulations to Thorsten Hohmann

So true. He is THE REFERENCE in straight pool right now. Very solid player!
