    Professional pool prize funds historically.

For sure, the biggest prizemoney events were few decades ago. IPT$500K won by Efren (paid in instalments) in 2006 about $800K today's money has to be biggest. I think 2nd biggest is Tokyo Open 9 ball $160K in early 2000s ($300K today's money) also won by Efren. Those few W10B in 2000s were $100K...

    WNT, WPA and 2026

99.9% no WPC this year. WPC is package deal with Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters (which is in jeopardy after venue change last year. There is chatter of Saudi shoving it to Qatar). Saudi PIF scaling down on LIV so same thing with pool snooker deal. Even though MR WNT signed 10 year deal there is...

Yapp’s Controversial Tournament-Winning Shot in the 8-Ball World Championship … Was it a Foul?

True. Maybe there is high turnover cannot get folks to take on this thankless job or the ref training system not working I mean PBS brought in so called EPBF refs in previous event but still those refs blundered big time with countless lag-gate controversies, cannot apply rules consistently...

Yapp’s Controversial Tournament-Winning Shot in the 8-Ball World Championship … Was it a Foul?

Precisely. Players are paid to play (play to get paid) and refs are paid to ref. Dumb rule. How many players would really call foul on themselves when the stakes are humungous? That's why spy agencies have a saying "Everyone Breaks". Forget the cheap words theatrics a player will say for...

    2026 World Snooker Championship: April 18 - May 04

Don't write off Robertson & Ding even though they are in much tougher top half. They are the dark horses. Really, they only have to beat maybe 3 World Champions. No sweat.

Oops I did it again (Yapp's) foul in a final, a second time!

Clearly ref should have reviewed like Nigel Rees in the foul in that Bustamante -Daryl Peach match. Though in that match Rees only reviewed after someone shouted "Foul" :ROFLMAO::LOL: https://anitokid.blogspot.com/2007/11/francisco-django-bustamante-and-daryl.html Clearly obvious foul after...

    2026 World Snooker Championship: April 18 - May 04

Zhao and Ronnie are solid bets . Though I think Zhao may fall to Crucible Curse :ROFLMAO: I think Ronnie will win it this year and retire but he is in very tough top half of draw. If not Ronnie, I think either Mark Selby (in form this year) or Trump...

Who is the best player of the last 40 years not to win a major event?

40 years ago is too long ago for folks like me. Let us talk about more current active best players of these last 2 decades who have not won a major. For this exercise, major is defined as only WPA/PBS/WNT 8B,9B,10B majors, includes World Games (poor man’s version of Olympics) , PBS Las Vegas...

    Is Pia Filler #1???

I don't think we should call people names. But I will make an exception and call you names. You are a moron. It is ok that you defend Pia. But wth has that got to do with winning Pia in a race to 10 ? So if we give Timothee Chamelet acting a bad review, we have to win acting awards to be...

PBS St Louis 2026 (Men’s World 8 Ball Championship, Mixed Doubles, Women’s Open, Bank Pool), 1-8 April, Half Million Prize Fund

I think she took time off to start family like Han Yu and Liu Sha Sha. It's par for the course with top players in 8 ball. Too easy boring. That is why 9B 10B are more popular spectator games than 8B

Google AI interpretation of OP's post below. Likely Google AI just BS come up with an answer. There is something wrong with AI if it also understands OP's post :ROFLMAO: It sounds like you’re touching on the classic clash between the collaborative spirit of the game and the ego that often...

PBS St Louis 2026 (Men’s World 8 Ball Championship, Mixed Doubles, Women’s Open, Bank Pool), 1-8 April, Half Million Prize Fund

Hope Bergman/Fu win whole thing. Double comeback first comeback after down 1 set and also comeback in shootout after losing 3 set which they should have won. Love how they don't talk and just go on do their business trust each other. No apologies, no coaching, no chit chat. High level doubles...

Oops you are right. my bad. Albin needs 10B to make Triple Crown. So only Biado eligible. Maybe the miss in shootout causing his team to lose that great mixed doubles match vs Bergman/Fu fired him up today :ROFLMAO:

PBS St Louis 2026 (Men’s World 8 Ball Championship, Mixed Doubles, Women’s Open, Bank Pool), 1-8 April, Half Million Prize Fund

Biado and Albin through to last 32 in style want to win this badly. If either win this title, they will make history by being first ever to win Triple Crown of World 8B/9B/10B. The closest to achieve the Triple Crown were Wu and FSR who both won 8B & 9B but fell short finishing runner up in 10B
