To be fair, we don't know exactly why they were "forced" to withdraw and it may have been something either completely out of the control of Matchroom, and/or it took them (Matchroom) by surprise. That is quite an assumption you're making that pros don't like bar tables. Even if they don't, they are pros and if an event pays well and it is an open tournament they should compete. Some of the calcuttas are sky-high as well, making it totally worth their while.

I hear you, but you have to consider that attending any TS event is an expensive proposition for a spectator. The rooms are not cheap and neither is the food. Yes, admission is free for the event but there isn't much else to do there if you're not into casinos. There isn't much around that area...
