Ok, I have decided to try Solarez. Was wondering what you builders that are using Solarez are using for cure lights. Found several flash light style lights, but was looking for 4ft T8 or T12 style lights. What works the best & fastest?

I looking for anyone who has built a CNC taper machine . Would like to get a detailed set of materials used & even see some pics of some of the builds them self. I have some ideas of what I think I need, but would like to see what some of you all have came up with .

I have built a few spalted cues and have had great results . I do stabilize & core all my spalted wood. I have used both spalted Maple & spalted Pecan.

Well I said writing G-code. That was a false statement. What I should have said was I use both Bob-cad V27 or Fusion 360 software to draw up designs & the let it create the G-code. As far as G-code is concerned, it is like reading Japanese to me.

I have been self educating myself on CNC operation & Writing G-code. Not being a machine at & having no knowledge of CNC at all has made the process a long one but I am slowly getting it by trial & error. I would be appreciative if your still willing to share your files.

I disagree Treed. I have done multiple pieces of spalted pecan. I soak them in Cactus Juice in vacuum chamber for 24 hours & then bake in oven a 185' for 4 hours. The wood comes out solid & after the excess now crystalized stabilizer is sanded/machined off, the wood looks like it did before it...

Sounds a lot like Cactus Juice, cost is about the same too.

I have used White Tail Deer for ferrules a few times & they are holding up perfectly.

I installed a old stock Moori tip for a customer 3 weeks ago. He had the tip for several years but had never had it installed. Within less then a week after I had installed it, the leather separated in the middle of the tip (about 2 layers above the glue surface).
