Im installing diamond rails on a table...and I read that cloth side goes up but am I suppose to trim excess off or is backwords??

I guess I'm missing the point of your question, are you asking if you cut the end of the cushions off that are to long for the sub rails? Don't mean to be rude at all, but if that's the meaning.of your question, put the rails down and call someone that knows what they're doing to complete that job.
