A/B Amateur is restructured so that all players EXCEPT pros can play. The GSBT will rank tourney players by their past tourney finishes. It doesn't matter how many amateur/open tourneys a player has won. The GSBT is setting their own standards in 2009. The format will go like this:

If a player is ranked "AA" - this is the top tier amateur players.

If a player is ranked an "A" player - this will be the middle tier amateur players.

"B" ranked players will be the lower tier of amateur players.

The race is modified for A/B amateur players.

If a "AA" player plays another "AA" player the race will be 10 to 10.
If a "AA" player plays an "A" player the race will be 10 to 9.
If a "AA" player plays a "B" player the race will be 10 to 7.

If an "A" player plays another "A" player the race will be 9 to 9.
If an "A" player plays a "B" player the race will be 9 to 7.

If both players are ranked "B" the race will be 7 to 7.

This is the only difference for the tourney.

Format:

-Lag for the break
-Alternate the break
-Rack your own w/ the 2 ball iin the back
-Texas Express rules
