Hi AZ. Looking to have a sugartree shaft turned down from the stock 13.1mm to 12.25mm. Any recommendations for trustworthy work in the San Francisco bay area?

Also has anyone had Schmelke turn down shafts before? Do they do good work? Thanks.

Why not ask Kenny Koo of Koo Cues in Alameida? That's a lot of meat off the bone on a shaft, going down 3 sizes +. That is going to take some time to do it correctly. Also why not talk to Eric Crisp?

Keith Josey told me .25mm at a time. So according to him, you would need at least 3 different turnings. I assume this is to let the wood "rest" between the turnings, I forgot to ask why as I was only going from 13mm to 12.75. (These were my 2 Rick Howards shafts & they're incredible) !!!
