DCC 9 ball rules???

just jumped on to you tube and im watching Marco play Shane. About the 7/8th rack or so Marco broke, did not pocket a ball,and left himself bad on the one. Then he got down and shot a kick into the one. Have I missed something? New rule? what?

Marco did not have a "legal" break. Meaning 3 balls did not pass the headstring ond/or were pocketed on the break.

Shane (out of view of the camera) gave the shot back to Marco who chose not to push out but go for the 1 instead. Marco did have the option to push out, if Shane had accepted the shot he would not have the option to push out.
