In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the government, through the Small Business Administration (SBA) is providing small businesses, sole proprietorships, and independent contractors a loan of up to $2 million, and a grant of up to $10,000, which may not have to be repaid, even if the loan application is denied.
On a separate note ;
NYS Small Business Owners and others applying for unemployment for the first time (Keep in mind, SBOs, under the Cares Act we CAN apply for unemployment--the regular benefits + $600 even though we're self-emp/business owners). Non-NYS people, you're probably going to run into something similar
